LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have reportedly parted ways following an argument involving allegations of cheating.
Sam confronted Britney last week over rumors that she stepped out on him, TMZ reported citing a source.
Why did Britney Spears and Sam Asghari split?
The outlet was unable to confirm if the rumors of infidelity are true and had any basis, however, the publication said Sam believed it and had a "huge fight" with Britney.
The source further stated that the 29-year-old model, who got married to the 'Toxic' singer in June 2022, has moved out of the house they shared and is living in his own place.
"It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce," the source said.
Sam and Britney began dating in 2016 when he worked in one of her music videos. In fact, they've been inseparable since then.
Is their marriage going through a rough patch?
In May this year, the publication reported that Sam and Britney's marriage was in "deep trouble".
Even amid these allegations, the pair celebrated their first wedding anniversary. In the same month, to shut down the speculations of a rift between the pair, Britney posted a video with Sam wherein she kissed him.
“I feel so blessed to be with such an incredible husband who inspires me everyday !!” she captioned the video.
TMZ further reported that even if Sam has publically defended Britney from critics, "he was frustrated at wits' end," the source added.
Following the "deep trouble" Sam wasn't sleeping at the house very often and "Britney has gotten physical with him in blowout fights that include frequent screaming matches."
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have agreed on a prenup that ensures Britney’s wealth is safe if they split up as per reports. Moreover, the same source mentioned that Britney could end things on good terms, financially.
Sam Asghari made Britney Spears very happy when he asked her to marry him in September 2021. She shared images and a clip of her sparkling ring and her excitement on social media with her fans. The couple tied the knot in June 2022.
