'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' is back for a live show like never before. The event sees a significantly smaller crowd due to the coronavirus for the first time in nearly five decades since its first episode.

'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2021' is hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and joined by co-hosts 'Pretty Little Liars' star Lucy Hale, Billy Porter, and Ciara. As we see the camera panning out to the streets of Times Square and various stages for performers, the atmosphere is surreal. Much of the attendees are frontline workers and first responders who are all wearing masks. It's a "very different vibe" as Hale describes it.

But moving on to the exciting stuff, the annual show promises 37 performances from some of the most celebrated names in music, including Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, Jenifer Lopez, Ella Mai, Saweetie, Noah Cyrus, Brandy, Doja Cat, Jimmie Allen, Maluma, Nelly, Julia Michaels, Noah Cyrus, En Vogue, Lewis Capaldi, and more.

Miley Cyrus kicked off the show as the first performer, singing 'Party in the USA'. Next up was Nelly who kicked up old-school with his 2002 hit 'Hot in Herre'.

Saweetie made her 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' debut for her first of two performances of the night, rapping one of her latest tracks 'Tap In', the lead single from her upcoming debut studio album 'Pretty Bitch Music'. Saweetie sported a frosty gold look with dazzling knee-high boots as she delivered 'Tap In' lines flawlessly. After the performance, she said, "Thank you so much. That was for all my icy girls and my icy bros."

Fans on Twitter have been quick to drop comments on her performance. "Happy New Year!!! #IKDR@Saweetie just killed that #NewYearsEvelive performance #TapIN," says a fan while another writes, "@Saweetie your performance was awesome you had this 55yr old up dancing I love the boots I think they are my size too lol!!! Great performance and Happy New Year!!"

"@Saweetie boots on this New Year’s Eve show are bomb!!!!" says another fan on Saweetie's footwear.

Meanwhile, some fans are pointing out that a clip of Jhené Aiko was used mistakenly to promote Saweetie

One fan asks, "DID THE NEW YEAR’S PROGRAM ON ABC JUST PUT UP JHENE AIKO WHEN INTRODUCING SAWEETIE?! #NewYearsEve"

One fan comments, "UM what?? they don't even look similar" as another one says in disbelief, "This cant be real."
