MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: A comedian from Memphis named Derrion "Dmuney" Childs, who was fondly known as Derrion Childs, was killed days after he mocked the death of rapper Young Dolph. The death was confirmed by the Memphis Police Department via their official Twitter account. In the tweet, they revealed that the deceased male was identified as 21-year-old Derrion Childs.
Derrion Childs had mocked Young Dolph’s death on Facebook saying, “MANEEEE THEM FOLKS JUST KILLED YOUNG DOLPH I LOVE MEMPHIS CUH WE SO GANGSTA," followed by a few laughing emoticons, as reported by The Sun. The post was later deleted but the screenshots of the same quickly surfaced on Twitter.
Young Dolph was shot dead on November 17. A few other rappers too became the target of gun violence in the last few months. Hip-hop artist SpotemGottem was shot in a drive-by shooting but thankfully survived. Zerail Dijon Rivera aka Indian Red Boy and Detroit rapper VNZA, were too shot but unfortunately could not survive the fatal incident.

Who was Derrion 'DMuney' Childs?
Derrion "DMuney" Childs was a comedian, rapper, and social media personality. He gained more than 17,000 followers on Instagram and close to 4,000 on Facebook. The young comedian used to regularly post skits on his Instagram page to keep his fans entertained. After mocking Young Dolph’s death, he had also shared a different post on Facebook saying, “MANE CUHH IF YEEN FROM MEMPHIS OR IF YEEN THE POLICE JUST QUIT TRYNA SOLVE YOUNG DOLPH MURDER. THESE FOLKS DONE CAME & LOCKED MY GMA UP”, as reported by HipHopDX.
Speaking of his death, Fox13 News reported that the comedian was fatally shot at a local Valero gas station on Tuesday, November 23 around 10 pm local time. The report also reveals that two additional victims were also spotted nearby. There have been no arrests in the case so far and the cops are yet to divulge details on the suspects. Taking to Twitter, The Memphis Police Department stated, “On 11/23 at 10:37 pm, officers responded to a shooting at 2699 N. Watkins. Officers located three victims nearby on Vayu Dr. Male #1 was xported critical but did not survive his injury. Female #1 was listed as non-critical. Male #2 was uninjured.”

How did Young Dolph die?
Young Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr, was shot when he was picking up cookies from a Memphis bakery. He apparently died on the spot. According to The Sun, the owner of the bakery later claimed that someone drove up and shot inside the store ultimately killing the rapper at around 1pm on November 17. Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland in an official statement said, “The tragic shooting death of rap artist Young Dolph serves as another reminder of the pain that violent crime brings with it.” Cops later released pictures of the alleged gunmen that showed two suspects wearing face masks with dark hoodies and gray sweatpants. The two appeared to be holding weapons that seemed to be a pistol and another one a Draco AK-47.
