If you live the life of an assassin, an awareness of your surroundings is key, as is learning to adapt accordingly. Being aware of other people's feelings and adjusting accordingly, well, that's just good manners. This March, Jonathan Hickman and Mike Huddleston make a case for the overlap between assassination and manners as they introduce the universe's most polite assassin in 'Decorum' #1.

The official synopsis for the issue reads: "There are many assassins in the known universe. This is the story of the most well-mannered one. 'Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others. If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter what knife you use.'"

Image Comics has released a trailer featuring art from the first issue as well as a collection of positive reviews from various comic creators in the industry, which you can see below.

'Decorum' is an 8-issue limited series that seems to be set in a futuristic, sci-fi setting — melding magic with the best of science and technology. It's a genre setting that Jonathan Hickman excels at. Whatever the story of 'Decorum' involves, it is sure to contain more than a few mind-bending concepts and expansive world-building. The preview pages seem to take a technological, sci-fi twist on a pirate invasion of a small, tribal island, featuring Victorian robots battling an island tribe wielding energy staffs on the beach.

Other comics creators have showered praises on 'Decorum'. One of them being from Warren Ellis, who said, "Going to be huge. God damn." Coming from the writer of such impressive titles as 'Planetary,' 'Transmetropolitan' and 'NextWave', that's high praise indeed.

'Decorum' #1 is written by Jonathan Hickman ('House of X', 'East of West') and drawn by Mike Huddleston ('Middlewest', 'House of X'). It releases on March 11, wherever comics are sold.
