LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulu's latest murder mystery series 'Death and Other Details,' takes an interesting turn in its latest episode.
Earlier, we witnessed crew member Winnie Goh (Annie Q Riegel) confessing to the murder of Danny Turner also known as Keith Trubistky (Michael Gladis).
As Interpol agent Hilde Erikson (Linda Emond) closes the case, Detective Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) is set on a mission to uncover the mastermind behind it all.
In Episode 5, we also gain insight into the mysterious character of Leila Collier (Pardis Saremi), the wife of Anna Collier (Lauren Patten).
Leila Collier was chasing a story on Victor Sams
Six months ago, Leila was pursuing the story of Victor Sams. Peter Meadows, a decorated federal employee at the NSA, served as her source, revealing that his life had been ruined by Victor Sams.
During their brief conversation on an empty road, Peter also mentioned that they are constantly being heard and watched. On her way home, Leila experienced unusual events. While driving, her GPS was hacked, causing her brakes to fail, resulting in a devastating car crash.
Leila reportedly sustained a brain injury, and those around her, including her wife Anna Collier ceased to believe her.
Leila Collier asks Anna Collier for a divorce
Leila, who has been notably missing in most parts of the series, makes a sudden reappearance and urges Anna to deboard the ship as she believes that their lives are in danger. However, Anna chooses to ignore Leila's worries and instead schedules a therapy session for the following morning.
During the therapy, Leila confronts Anna for assuming that she is 'crazy' and then asks for a divorce. Anna, still processing the situation, expresses her willingness to make things work by considering skipping the crucial business meeting with the Chuns.
However, Leila remains adamant about the divorce and encourages Anna to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, Leila has teamed up with Rufus to track down Victor Sams.
Several secrets are poised to unfold in the upcoming episodes.
