LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Death and Other Details', Hulu's latest murder mystery, has established a great suspenseful plot backed by excellent performances. The ten-episodic series has reached halfway with the central characters approaching towards unlocking the mystery.

'Death and Other Details' is set on a luxury cruise with several VIPs onboard who are investigated for the murder of Detective Rufus Cotesworth's assistant Danny Turner.

Leila Collier informs Rufus Cotesworth about Victor Sams

Leila Collier (Pardis Saremi) recalls her meeting with Danny Turner aka Keith Trubitsky (Michael Gladis) before he was murdered in his room. She tells Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) that she has warned Danny against Victor Sams.

She goes on to reveal that the Collier family isn't the perpetrator but instead the victims of Victor Sams as they are being blackmailed.

While Leila is unaware of the reason behind the blackmail, Rufus assumes that it might have something to do with Captionem Blue (a banned ultra-bright pigment), the undated receipt of which Imogene Scott (Violett Beane) found in an earlier episode.

Leila further reveals that Victor can go to any lengths to protect his identity. However, he has an army of confidantes everywhere who follow blindly his instructions and Winnie Goh (Annie Q Riegel) is one of them who killed Danny.

Leila informs Teddy Goh (Angela Zhou) and Rufus about the bug she discovers in her room. The trio then comes together to look over the footage to track the ones who entered the ship before everyone else boarded.

Rufus is seen studying the blueprint of SS Varuna, the luxury ship which leads him to a hidden part of the ship where someone could be hiding in plain sight.

The episode ends with Rufus and Leila being astonished as they make a breakthrough in the case. What have they found inside the depths of the vessel?

It's not a surveillance unit, as mentioned in the episode. But is it a hide-out for Victor Sams and does Sunil Bhandari (Rahul Kohli) know about it?

We'll have to wait for the next episode to find out the answers.

Five episodes of 'Death and Other Details' are currently streaming on Hulu.
