'Armed' man ATTACKS Dave Chappelle on stage before Jamie Foxx, security guards send him to hospital
An allegedly armed man rushed Dave Chappelle on stage as he performed a Netflix live comedy show at the Hollywood Bown in Los Angeles. Footage from the event — ‘Netflix Is A Joke’ —- has gone viral, showing the unidentified person attacking the comedian before being tackled by Jamie Foxx and security. The actor was present at the event and enjoying it from the wings while sporting a sheriff's hat.
Chappelle angered the trans community last year after saying, “Every human being in this room, every human being on Earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth. That is a fact,” on his Netflix special — ‘The Closer’. He also made fun of trans women saying they did not have real female reproductive organs and blood but “beet juice”. Though it has not been officially confirmed who actually tried to hurt the 48-year-old, he himself claimed, “It was a trans man,” while continuing with his set after the attack.

After the attacker was taken away, Chappelle expressed his gratitude to Foxx as he said during the curtain call: “Shout out to Jamie Foxx by the way. Whenever you're in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff's hat.” Then the 54-year-old responded: “I thought that was part of the show, I didn't know what the f***...” Chappelle then remarked, “I grabbed the back of that n**** head. His hair was spongy. Absorbent.”
To which, Foxx noted: “Listen, I just want to say, this man is an absolute genius. We've got to make sure we protect him at all times. For every comedian who comes out here, this means everything. You're a genius. You're a legend, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and we're not going to let nothing happen to you.” And, the ‘Sticks & Stones’ star added: “I've been doing this for 35 years. I just stomped a n**** backstage. I've always wanted to do that.”
Chris Rock performed earlier Tuesday night at the same event and joined Chapelle on stage minutes after the attack, saying, “Was that Will Smith?”
Meanwhile, Twitter was filled with mixed reactions over the incident. A user tweeted: “Who invited #WillSmith?” while taking a dig at the ‘King Richard’ star. “Serves him right. A message needs to sent. These on stage attacks on comedians need to be stopped. Wish they did the same shit to Will Smith. Put these assholes in their places,” the third one added.
it’s something that Dave bring to us showing how relax Dave can be and just surprised this happened by his expression speaking to the audience clapping back from the jumper saying nobody will get away w that happening to him😌

One person said, “As a Dave stan I agree Dave deserved being attacked.” The second one added: “He shouldn't have got that close to even do that. Glad Dave is ok and no one else was hurt. May this be a learning lesson for the tackler. But dang homie they made his arm look like Harry Potter in Chamber of Secrets.”
