‘Keep Damar Hamlin in your prayers’: Buffalo Bills star's family moved by support and donations from fans
CINCINNATI, OHIO: NFL star player Damar Hamlin's family has thanked the public for its support and asked for continued prayers for the Buffalo Bills star's health. Hamlin remains in critical condition after collapsing on the field on Monday night, January 2, 2023, during his game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Media professionals on the field tried to revive Hamlin by administering CPR.
Hamlin's family was present at the game and witnessed his collapse. The star player had tackled Tee Higgins and then got up before shockingly passing out after a few seconds. Hamlin was immediately rushed to the University of Cincinnati Hospital in an ambulance with his mother Nina Hamlin beside him. Following the incident, players were visibly shaken after witnessing the horrific ordeal, leaving the game suspended for the evening. Hamlin's family spokesperson says that he is "now sedated" after waking up in the hospital.

In a statement, his family said on Tuesday, "On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time." "We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words and donations from fans around the country," as per Daily Mail. "We also want to acknowledge the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who have provided exceptional care to Damar." "We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bulls organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they’ve done."

Jordon Rooney, Hamlin's representative said, "We have no concrete updates right now, last night they administered CPR on the field and got his vitals to a stable position." "I’m not sure on the exact medical term, but he is sedated. He is intubated; I’m not sure if that is the same as an induced coma," reported the source.
