May contain spoilers for 'Criminal Minds' Season 14.

After a fantastic 14 season run, CBS' crime drama 'Criminal Minds' is coming to an end with their upcoming season. Now with more than a decade-long run and 314 episodes, the show has plenty of loose ends to tie up — especially the cliffhanger in the last season's finale between Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and the very committed Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau (AJ Cook).

After being kidnapped and forced to make a deep dark confession, JJ decides to come clean about her feelings for Reid in the heat of the moment — but what does it mean for the two characters? Plus, with JJ already in a relationship with Will LaMontagne Jr (Josh Stewart), how would it all work out?

We caught up with Kirsten Vangsness who plays Penelope Garcia on the show to figure out what we can expect from the series finale.

In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), she revealed that the final season does indeed address what happened in the finale. She also implies that JJ's marriage could "probably" be affected because of it.

"I think that's what everybody wants," said Vangsness, adding, "there was all this chemistry and energy, and how are they gonna resolve it? My answer to you is think of all the times you've had chemistry with someone, and how does it get resolved? And the answer to that is it doesn't get resolved."

The seeds of this sudden love twist were sowed back in Season 1 when Spencer admitted he had a thing for JJ, but over time the relationship evolved into a more platonic, almost sisterly kind of love. "One of my favorite things about the show is that they've always sort of taken what's available and kind of built on it. And we each have unique chemistry with each other. I think it's a fun, cool thing to develop and see what happens next."

This isn't a straight answer, but she does mention that there are "definitely" some big "moments coming up in the season, big time".

'Criminal Minds' Season 15 will premiere on January 8 at 9 pm ET on CBS. The first episode will be two-hour long. There are only 10 episodes in the final season.
