'Crikey! It's The Irwins': Bindi Irwin admits life after her dad Steve's death has been a challenge

Bindi and Steve were best friends and in the latest episode of the show, she admitted how hard it has been for her to go on ever since her father's death

When the news about Steve Irwin's death made headlines, it left people all over the world in a state of shock. However, the people who were most affected were his family that included wife Terri, daughter Bindi and son Robert.

The news of his demise took everyone by surprise but they knew his legacy had to be kept alive. The family worked together to make his dream a reality but that did not fill the hole that had been made ever since they lost Steve.

Bindi and Steve's relationship had been unlike any other. Since she was his first child, the bond between them had been stronger. This episode highlighted how Steve had always been the biggest motivator for Bindi while she had been an inspiration for him. 

In one of his interviews, he had admitted how Bindi was the light in his life in times of darkness. Steve had always wanted someone to carry on his legacy and when Bindi was born, he knew he had another reason to live for.

He took her on various trips and ever since she was young, he made sure that she lived a life like the one he had. Undoubtedly, their love for nature is what made their bond unbreakable.

The two enjoyed going on wildlife trips together and animals became their new best friends. However, with the loss of Steve, all those moments became a memory for Bindi. In the latest episode (April 18), Bindi admitted that not having her dad by her side has been hard. 

She shared that growing up there were several milestones for which she wished she had him. Bindi reflected how life had been a challenge ever since her dad's death. She admitted her wedding would have been different had her dad been in the picture.

Despite this, she knew that her dad would not have wanted her to be upset on her big day. Bindi admitted she was going to smile and be happy because that is what Steve would have wanted. She acknowledged his presence while adding that he is always by her side even though he was taken away too soon.
