Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber worried about daughter Kaia's boyfriend Pete Davidson: 'He needs help'
Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber were photographed outside their daughter, Kaia's New York City apartment on Thursday, December 26, reportedly having a heated conversation about Kaia's boyfriend, SNL cast member Pete Davidson, according to Daily Mail.
Gerber spoke to Crawford reportedly about a conversation he appeared to have with 26-year-old Davidson while in the apartment. A bystander told Daily Mail that Gerber was heard saying that [Pete] had "scratched eyes" and was "freaking out".
The 53-year-old supermodel looked shaken as Gerber spoke about the conversation. Later, Davidson reportedly left the apartment in a car down the street and Kaia was seen returning to the building after dark.
Davidson and 18-year-old Kaia began dating in October. The latter is one of the most in-demand young models to pose for Vogue and walk for Chanel. Davidson earlier had high-profile relationships with Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale.
Gerber appeared on edge as he reportedly told Crawford that the conversation "wasn't good" and at one point, brought his hands up to his face and widened his eyes, as if to imitate what he had seen.
Gerber was reportedly overheard saying, "He's got scratched out eyes. His face was like scared as if someone or a camera was on him. His eyes are very... and he's like freaking out."
He continued referring to Davidson, "How in the hell can he... be away... he needs help, my God that's crazy... private rehab, like in an hour," while adding that Davidson loves Kaia.
Davidson has been forthcoming about his struggles with mental health and has left concerning social media posts in the past. When he appeared on 'Saturday Night Live' last week, during a 'Weekend Update' segment with Colin Jost, Davidson had hinted about going to rehab.
When Jost asked Davidson about his plans for the holidays, Davidson replied, "Oh I'm going on a little 'vacation', where insurance pays for some of it, and they take your phone and shoelaces and you have roommates but it still costs 100 grand?"
