Cindy Crawford and 'built-in handyman' husband Rande Gerber follow 'more traditional' roles at home
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Supermodel, socialite, businesswoman, these terms can all be associated with Cindy Crawford, but can you imagine the '90s heartthrob shopping for groceries or doing household chores? The Meaningful Beauty founder recently revealed that she and her husband, Rande Gerber, follow "more traditional" roles at home, which also includes household tasks that need to be divided equally.
The supermodel and the co-founder of Casamigos have been married for 25 years and have two children, 23-year-old Presley, a model, and 21-year-old Kaia, a model and actress who has starred in 'American Horror Stories' and 2022's 'Babylon'.

Cindy Crawford's 'built-in handyman'
"I was going to joke and say I can barely get him to pick up a wet towel, which is partly true, but I will say if something around the house needs repair — he'll repair it if he knows how," Crawford, 57, told PEOPLE, adding that her "built-in handyman also has a strong sense of style."
"You know, if the air conditioning is not working, he deals with that. Or if there's a patch of grass that needs replacing. So I would say we're pretty good at divvying up the responsibilities of life," Crawford said of Gerber.
Speaking about what the supermodel was best at, "Punctuality," she says, adding, "And I'm definitely more in charge of making sure there are groceries in the house and menu planning, the schedule, making appointments and that kind of stuff," while emphasizing on the "more traditional roles" they both were accustomed to while growing up.
The mother-of-two said that despite instilling strong morals and values in their children, there was never a "kids table" for them and that they were always involved. "I think because of that, they're very comfortable in most life situations," she said.
Still a romantic
Crawford said that Gerber still buys her flowers. "I love roses. I think they add such a nice smell," she said, noting her favorite "is the one that Rande always gets me for my birthday. Pale peach, it's called. But you really can't go wrong with any roses. If you take care of them, give them a little bit of love. They last so long."
Her collaboration with Courtney Sixx of Bouquet Box has only helped her learn more about flowers. "The thing that's beautiful about flowers is they're only just to be enjoyed. You know they're going to die. There's not, you know, accruing value or anything. They're literally just something to delight the senses. And I think that's why they feel so indulgent and make you happy," she said.
