'Sister Wives' star Christine Brown's son Paedon worried as mom's relationship with fiance David Woolley is moving 'too fast'
FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: Love is a powerful emotion that has the ability to transform and uplift us in ways we never thought possible. And for Christine Brown, star of the hit TLC show 'Sister Wives', love has once again taken center stage. Just a few months after publicly announcing their romance, Christine, 51, and David Woolley, 59, got engaged in early April, leaving fans and family members shocked and delighted in equal measure.
While Christine's engagement has been met with joy and congratulations from some members of her family and friends, others have expressed their concerns and reservations about the speed and nature of the relationship. Christine's son Paedon, in particular, has been vocal about his worries, taking to TikTok in March to share his concerns about his mother moving "too fast". Meanwhile, some of Christine's other family members have yet to publicly congratulate her on the engagement. Janelle Brown is the only member of the 'Sister Wives' who has shown her support, while Kody, Robyn, and Meri have remained silent. Meri, however, has shared a cryptic social media post regarding feeling "underestimated".

Paedon feels strongly about Christine Brown's engagement
Christine and David recently announced their engagement in early April 2023, a mere two months after going public with their romance. In response to this news, Christine's family, with the exception of a few key members, has expressed their opinions about the engagement.
As for Christine's children, her daughter Ysabel reposted her mother's ring pictures and her other daughter Gwendlyn did the same and even went so far as to write, "We're literally twinsies," on April 14. However, Christine's son Paedon has not publicly offered his congratulations, which has led to speculation about his stance on the matter. An exclusive source told The US Sun, "All of Christine's kids have been super supportive, except for Paedon... Paedon never supports this kind of stuff. He doesn't support much of anything, so it's not surprising." The source added, "It's not to say that two, three years from now he'll change his mind, but for now, he's made his feelings clear."
Despite this rumored lack of support from her son, Christine remains unfazed, with a source stating that she "doesn't take it to heart" and understands that opinions may vary. "It's her life, and she's doing what makes her happy," the source said, adding, "Collectively, her kids just want the best for their mom and they're going to love her no matter what."
Paedon feels Christine Brown is 'rushing into this relationship'
In March 2023, Christine's son Paedon expressed his concerns regarding his mother's relationship, which he believed was moving too quickly. Taking to TikTok to air his thoughts, the 25-year-old explained in a resurfaced clip that he had spoken with his mother about her new love life.
Paedon detailed the conversation and said, "Last night [I told her], 'Hey Mom, you’re going fast. I’m not telling you to slow down. I just want you to be aware that you’re rushing this...You were in – you’ve been in a bad relationship [with Kody] for years." He continued, "She was in a bad relationship...it was actually good at one point...but at least for the past, minimum, five years you've been in a bad relationship, and I'm really sorry about that."
The former National Guard member pleaded with his mother to take things slower and stated, "You’re now rushing into this relationship [with David] very, very quickly." Despite his initial reservations, Paedon also shared that he was ultimately pleased that his mother was happy in her new relationship. "I’m very happy that she’s happy. It’s absolutely amazing," he concluded.
Meri Brown shades with cryptic messages

Although Meri has not publicly acknowledged the news of Christine's engagement, her recent posts have led some to speculate that she may be struggling to come to terms with recent changes in her life.
One of Meri's recent Instagram posts featured a quote by Rumi that read, "Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you.
