FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: In a new tell-all episode that aired on December 18, 2022, ‘Sister Wives’ stars Christine Brown spilled all the details about her broken relationship with her sister wife Meri Brown. The reality star, who dumped her ex-husband Kody Brown, told host Sukanya Krishnan why she cut ties with Meri.

Even Meri explained her side of the story, revealing to host Sukanya that she felt “betrayed.” Meri claimed, “At the time that she first was telling us, that’s really how I felt. I felt very betrayed by her (Christine) and that she was leaving me too,” adding, “Cause she has always said, 'I didn’t just want the man. I want the sister wives.'” She also said that she missed the “fun” relationship that the two shared in the past. When questioned about what exactly drove a wedge in their relationship and why they couldn’t repair it, Meri responded that she did not know, stating, “I don’t know exactly what the deal is.”

But when the host pressed her further, Meri confessed, “Well, I mean, I have not always been the perfect person or the perfect wife or the perfect sister wife. It just kind of comes down to we’re just not safe with each other and I don’t think there was one thing. It was over time.” She also admitted that the two didn’t trust one another.

While explaining her side of the feud, Christine also admitted that she did not feel safe anymore with Meri. She explained why Meri feels betrayed. She said, “Cause I ended the friendship. I ended the relationship, I did. I ended it.” She further added, “It wasn’t safe for me anymore, and I ended it, and I just told her straight up, ‘No, we’re not going to be friends cause I don’t trust you, and I’m not gonna do that to myself anymore.'”

When questioned if the two tried to reconcile, Christine stated that the door was closed for her. She said, “For me, yeah (it was closed). We tried a little bit here and there in Vegas.” She added that Meri did not treat her nicely, “But her treatment of me wasn’t nice. She wouldn’t be nice to me. She was just putting me down a lot in public situations. Especially if her family was there she would just put me down.” The sister wife stated that she was fed up with Meri. “When I hit my wall, I’m done,” Christine noted.

She further continued to explain why the relationship wouldn’t work in the future and that Meri was not worth fighting for because “she would be nice for a while, but then she would just come out again” when Christine was not expecting it. She said it was “just too stressful.”

Christine left Meri after her divorce from Kody in 2021. In a shocking Instagram post, the TLC star confirmed that she and Kody had decided to part ways after 25 years together.
