NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA: In a very much-needed move Christina Hall got candid about Instagram filters and how they are ruining the lives of today's youth. The 'Christina on the Coast' star has claimed that she is concerned and is very glad that none of this existed in her childhood.
Recently, the HGTV star shared some stories on Instagram and shared her thoughts on filters changing people's whole looks. She reposted another person's video showing how one filter instantly gives them a full glam look and the advancement that has been made in technology. Christina Hall dubs filters 'super unhealthy' for society
The 'Flip or Flop' star has expressed her concerns relating to the frequent use of Instagram filters and taken an inspiring step to put a halt to this growing phenomenon. Christina has recently taken to Instagram to share her thoughts on filters and labeled them as 'unhealthy' for society, especially the youth. The HGTV star posted a story on Instagram and wrote, "Seriously… stuff. So grateful none of this existed in my childhood/ young adulthood. Super unhealthy for society/our children. Unrealistic beauty expectations.”
The reality star has also expressed her gratitude that these things didn't exist to ruin her childhood and raised a question about the unrealistic idea of beauty that society fosters. Christina in a follow-up story also claimed that she is going to say no to filters from now on. She captioned the story, "Normally I would swipe once to the right for a small filter. But since my last post, no filter it is.”
In a rare move Christina Hall shares makeup-free selfie
The reality star, not only flaunted her filter-free face in her Instagram stories, but she also shared a rare makeup-free selfie on Wednesday 22 March. Christina opened up about her everyday life and gave us a glimpse that it's not all about glamour. The busy mom quipped how a little makeup goes “a long way.”
The photo shows the 39-year-old actress with no makeup, her blonde hair down wearing a light grey sweatshirt. Adding shock emojis, the star captioned the pic, "Ever have those days out and about running errands and catch a glimpse of yourself like. Maybe a bit of mascara and lip balm would go a long way here.” Giving up Instagram filters is a bold move on Christina's part and we hope it has the desired effect.
