Chrissy Teigen: Only non-White House personality followed by Joe Biden's POTUS Twitter account was blocked by Trump
Nearly four years ago, Chrissy Teigen was blocked by then-President, Donald Trump, apparently for telling him, "no one likes you." Now, on the day of the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States, Teigen is the first non-White House official and first celebrity to be followed by Biden's @POTUS Twitter account. At the time of writing, she is the only celebrity account followed by Biden.
In July 2017, Teigen announced that Trump's now-suspended personal Twitter account had blocked her, writing, "After 9 years of hating Donald J Trump, telling him "lol no one likes you" was the straw."

The model, entrepreneur, and author, who is married to singer John Legend, has constantly been critical of Trump, celebrating on Instagram on his last day in office, his exit from the role. She wrote in the post, "today our great national f***up is over, but the shame will last forever. with 2 impeachments, the creation of 3 million LESS jobs, 403,000 dead, a record low approval rating and god knows how many crimes, we can officially say Donald J Trump is the greatest at being the fucking worst. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to have the guy with barely enough well done steak with ketchup fueled brainpower to power a lightbulb who doesn’t even know how to close an umbrella run the country. History will not be kind to you, you absolute psychopath. But I never was anyhow."
It was Gabe Fleisher, author of 'Wake Up To Politics' who first noticed that Teigen will be experiencing a different type of presidency along with other American people. Fleisher tweeted, "The official @POTUS account now follows 11 people — all of them Biden aides or accounts, and then @chrissyteigen." Fleishman also noted that Teigen had first tweeted at Joe Biden's personal Twitter account, writing, "hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz." Teigen's response to her account being the only celebrity account followed by @POTUS was unsurprisingly, "OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!"

While Biden's @POTUS account currently follows just 12 people, that number is expected to increase in the coming days. Twitter and Biden's transition team had a feud over the social media company deciding not to transfer the more than 33 million followers of Trump's @POTUS account, rather, building up Biden's follower count from the ground up. This was not the case when Trump inherited the account from former President Barack Obama. At the time of writing, @POTUS currently has just over four million followers, not even nearly close to what Trump had.
Teigen also tweeted on the news that Biden's official account was following her, "my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged." She followed this up with, "I should prob never tweet again."

Teigen is also retweeting what she hopes the President would see from her account, retweeting actor Seth Rogen's response to Senator Ted Cruz, in which he wrote, "Haha get f**ked fascist. Go encourage a white supremacist insurrection again you f**king clown." Teigen had retweeted it, writing, "I just want potus to see this lol."
