On Thursday, December 22, Chris Pratt unveiled a bee sting injury on his left eyeball after he was inspired by a beekeeper's social media post and made an attempt to 'control bees'. The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star took to Instagram wearing a sunglass to reveal the incident.

"So I've been following this bee lady on Instagram, she's so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, 'They're very calm today. I'm going to remove the bee, I'm going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen," Pratt said in the video post.

Explaining his decision to go and look for the queen bee, the 'Parks and Recreation' actor said "So it's built up this false sense of security in me to where I said, 'I think I can control bees, too. So I saw a beehive two days ago and I went towards it and the man standing next to me said, 'Be careful, there are bees,' and I said, 'These bees look very calm'."

Removing his sunglasses and revealing the bee sting, Pratt said "And I just stared at these bees, and then one of them came out and stung me in the eyeball. So, anyways, f--- that bee lady,' " he ended the video.

Pratt, 43, captioned his Instagram video saying: "@texasbeeworks you inspire me! But for real tho…" where he refers to Texas beekeeper Erika Thompson

Responding to Pratt's mention, the Texas beekeeper wrote on his post: "Wait—so now you’re going to be a plumber and a beekeeper @prattprattpratt?! If you leave saving the bees to me and other professionals, you can focus on saving the Princess, Mario.

The beekeeper told the actor to keep aside beekeeping and asked him to focus on the Mushroom Kingdom's defense from Bowser as Mario, referring to the upcoming 'Super Mario Bros Movie'.

Wishing him well and at the same time mocking his new stung-face look, the post received wide responses from fans and Hollywood stars. Jason Kennedy joked “I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing… I’M LAUGHING 😂😂” while Sean Hayes sarcastically commented "Which eye?".

Pratt's 'The Terminal List' fellow actor Hiram A. Murray wrote: 😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣Sorry for laughing bro, you know where my heart is but daaaaamn!!!🐝

A user reacted to 'The Jurassic Park' actors' video by commenting: "The moral of this story is to bee a little more careful" while another wrote: "Just another day saving the bees 🐝 🐝"
