Charlie Sheen FINALLY settles lawsuit with ex who claimed he exposed her to HIV, agrees to pay $120K
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the lawsuit filed five years ago, the woman claimed that Charlie Sheen had unprotected sex with her before revealing that he was HIV positive. She will now get $120,000 after the legal case was finally settled. The anonymous woman who filed the suit, also referred to as Jane Doe, had previously informed court that, upon meeting Charlie, she signed an NDA out of fear but decided to sue after Sheen exposed her to the risk of contracting HIV.
Charlie Sheen, 56, was diagnosed as HIV positive around 2011, but did not reveal that information publicly until November 2015 on a talk show with Matt Lauer 'TODAY'. He claimed he had hidden the diagnosis from at least two sexual partners, but said he used protection both times. California law prevents people with a communicable disease from willfully exposing themselves to someone else. The actor has agreed to pay the unnamed woman $120,000 in monthly installments over the course of a year, according to the stipulation filed to LA County Superior Court.

The lawsuit filed five years ago said, "The woman claimed that Sheen, a 'confidential male defendant' had unprotected sex with her before revealing that he was HIV positive." But the legal case, which has involved the 'Two and A Half Men' actor for half a decade, has now been put to rest, according to documents obtained by TMZ. Back in 2016, authorities considered launching an investigation against Sheen amidst claims that he had exposed several other women to the sexually transmitted disease without warning them. In 2015 Sheen's ex-fiancee, Brett Rossi filed a lawsuit saying they had had sex five times before she found out he was HIV-positive. Rossi alleged that Sheen exposed her to HIV. She also claimed that she was physically and emotionally abused. Her suit, which was filed in December 2015, was later referred to arbitration.
The same year another of Sheen's exes, Bree Olson, said he had never disclosed his status to her. Meanwhile, his ex Denise Richards recently revealed why she left Charlie Sheen when she was six months pregnant with their younger daughter Lola. The 51-year-old filed for divorce in 2005, and during their explosive split she accused Charlie of making death threats against her, shoving her and endangering their children due to his penchant for prostitutes and pornography. Charlie and Denise married in 2002 and they welcomed two daughters together in quick succession — Sami, 18, and Lola, 17.
On a new episode of the 'Dear Media' podcast, 'Divorced Not Dead', Denise said, "You know what it was is I said to myself, 'Would I want my daughters to be married to this man?' No offense to him but it’s true."
Denise told podcast host Caroline Stanbury, "the collapse of the marriage was down to many things, but I don’t regret my marriage to Charlie, obviously at all because I really do believe that he and I were brought together to have our daughters. I feel that was not a good marriage, obviously, and relationship." Later on she reflected, "Well, there's a lot that the public doesn't know, and you never know what goes on behind closed doors, so it was not a good situation. Sheen is currently promoting his new upcoming drama-comedy TV series entitled 'Ramble On'.
