When will Matthew Perry marry fiancee Molly Hurwitz? Here's how 'Friends' actor popped the question
Our Chandler Bing from 'Friends' is all set to take the big step of his life as the 51-year-old actor is all set to tie the knot with 29-year-old girlfriend Molly Hurwitz and he even met her parents to ask for her hand, just in his "old school style".
The 'Friends' actor, who has been dating the literary agent for more than two years now, has revealed that he proposed to Hurwitz after they reunited following a breakup. Hurwitz who grew up in New York has already introduced Matthew to her mother, Amy, who recently moved to the West Coast and her father, Larry, who lives in Connecticut. A family source told The Sun: "He did, it was very sweet and traditional, everything a father would have wanted. Her mother has met him and spent time with him, and so has Larry, they are both over the moon."
Another source told The Sun, "They are very well-suited and very happy together, we couldn't be more pleased, we're ecstatic." The source also revealed that the rest of the family "hope to meet him soon" and have been "congratulating the pair", although the couple or their family haven't disclosed where and when Matthew asked her to be his wife. "I've spoken to him many times on the phone, but in the age of COVID it's hard to meet anybody at the moment," they said. The source added: "They have been dating over two years. As long as she's happy, we're happy." Asked if the family are a fan of the sitcom Friends, they said: "I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I knew who he was."
The couple had a short break up earlier this year and Matthew then joined exclusive dating app Raya, but the couple's romance later rekindled and Matthew felt it was the right time to propose. “I decided to get engaged," he told People this week. "Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time." The Sun exclusively revealed their relationship in December, as the pair enjoyed a romantic Christmas together, and it was revealed later they had been dating since 2018.
An insider revealed: “She has a very quirky sense of humor and they hit it off immediately. "Molly is not interested in fame and she rarely parties, she’s been great for Matthew." The couple will likely be moving into Matthew's new $6 million lavish home in Los Angeles, complete with a vegetable garden, training pool and hot tub.
