Actor Chadwick Boseman, who died of colon cancer in August 2020, has earned a nomination for Golden Globe. He received the nomination posthumously for his role in ‘Ma Rainey's Black Bottom’ where he played Levee, the lead trumpeter in 1920s Blues singer Ma Rainey's band. For the Best Actor, Drama award, the late ‘Black Panther’ star will be competing with Riz Ahmed, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman and Tahar Rahim. The nomination is also special because it’s the first time Boseman has earned a nomination for Golden Globe.

Kaley Cuoco and Nicole Kidman have also received nominations at the Golden Glove. It’s the first time for Cuoco too, who has been nominated in the category of Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy. Her name has been chosen for her role in the new HBO Max series, ‘The Flight Attendant’.
