WHY THE LONG FACE? CeeLo Green responds to backlash after falling off horse at Shawty Lo tribute party
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a statement, he uploaded to his Instagram account on Friday, CeeLo Green assured that nothing terrible had occurred to a horse he recently fell off. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals(PETA) criticized the 47-year-old singer and rapper for the prank, claiming that it might have caused the horse mental and bodily harm. The organization prompted the singer and rapper to speak out.
On Wednesday, Green attempted to make a splash by riding into the Atlanta birthday celebration for the late rapper Shawty Lo on a stunning dark horse. The animal, however, found the venue's floor tiles to be too slick and lost its balance, leading the musician to fall off of it and onto the ground.

'PETA hopes it knocked some sense into him'
"It doesn't take a genius to see that horses don't belong at a loud, crowded party where slippery flooring and strobe lights might excite them," said PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange in a statement following the viral video of Green falling from the horse earlier this week. She added, "If CeeLo bumped his head, PETA hopes it knocked some sense and compassion into him," as reported by DailyMail.
According to PETA's statement, the horse fell during the commotion and another video that is going viral offers a better picture of the incident. CeeLo also tumbled as the horse appeared to lose control of its back legs, as per reports.
