SAVANNAH, GEORGIA: Casey Affleck,47, shared a heartwarming post welcoming his new sister-in-law Jennifer Lopez to the family on Sunday night, August 21. This was after he skipped the Georgia wedding ceremony where she exchanged vows with his brother Ben Affleck. The 'Jenny from the Block' singer and the 'Argo' director officially wed on July, 16, in a chapel in Las Vegas. The couple then had their 'Wedding 2.0' for family and friends, with a bunch of A-listers in the mix, who witnessed them walk down the aisle again. However, Ben Affleck's brother Casey Affleck could not make it to the wedding but he took to Instagram to welcome his new sister-in-law into the family.

After their spontaneous wedding in a small wedding chapel in Las Vegas, the couple threw an extravagant wedding party. The guest list included dozens of stars, family members, and friends but Casey Affleck was not among them, noticeable in his absence. He stayed in Los Angeles over the weekend, where Page Six spotted him out on a coffee run the morning of the ceremony. But there appears to be no hard feelings between the two brothers. Instead, Casey Affleck wrote a heartfelt note for Jennifer Lopez, “Good things are worth waiting for,” with an old photo of Lopez, Ben Affleck and himself. “Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love.” “Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Kidding. I am kidding,” he posted. “Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much!!! ❤️

The couple's Georgia wedding was a three-day affair. The bash included a welcome dinner on Friday, August 19, and a picnic on Sunday, August 21, in addition to the actual ceremony on Saturday, August 20. The celebration comes 20 years after the couple first met in 2002 on the set of the romantic comedy 'Gigli,' when Lopez was still married to her second husband, dancer Cris Judd. The movie was a flop at the box office, but sparks flew between Lopez and Affleck. The pair went public with their relationship shortly after Lopez's divorce from Judd but later broke up in 2004 after Ben Affleck had proposed to her, citing media scrutiny.

In July 2022, the couple finally got hitched after only a year of dating after they 'reconnected.' They were married late at night at 'A Little White Wedding Chapel' in Las Vegas, Nevada. "We did it," she wrote. "Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient." While the first wedding wasn't the glamorous, over-the-top ceremony fans would expect from Bennifer, Lopez said it was "the best possible wedding we could have imagined," adding, "They were right when they said, 'all you need is love.'" However, her second wedding was surrounded by their family and friends and expectedly star-studded. Lopez walked down the aisle in a custom Ralph Lauren wedding dress.

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, filmmaker Kevin Smith and his wife Jennifer, actor Jason Mewes, and wife Jordan Monsanto and talent agent Patrick Whitesell, and both the couple's children were in attendance. The guests adhered to an all-white dress code. Celebrity life coach and podcaster Jay Shetty was tapped to serve as the officiant for the three-day celebration which reportedly cost approximately $400,000. The local police declared a "no-fly zone" within a three-mile radius of the property and security boats were seen patrolling the waterways around the home. The couple's second chance at a happily-ever-after manifested right after Lopez's split from former baseball star Alex Rodriguez in April 2021. The pair went Instagram official in July 2021, when Lopez posted a photo of her kissing Affleck while celebrating her 52nd birthday. Lopez announced their engagement this April with a video that was shared on her social media. Court documents revealed Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, received a marriage license on that day in Clark County, Nevada. The filing showed Lopez's plans to take the name Jennifer Affleck, after marriage.
