Cara Delevingne hailed for going topless and 'freeing the nipple' at Met Gala
Cara Delevingne received nothing but praises for her look at the 2022 Met Gala. At first, it looked like she had put on a shining pair of red jacket and pants, but once she took the jacket off, she revealed her semi-nude fit for the event. This was undoubtedly one of the most eye-catching outfits of the year.
When this British model, actor, and singer took off her jacket, her top half was almost fully bare but painted in gold. Initially, she arrived in an all-red Dior suit, a jacket, and purple heels.

In addition to the gold paint, the 'Paper Towns' star had some dainty, glistening jewelry on. These accessories were tiny pieces placed strategically on her chest for modesty. Cara discussed her outfit with Variety and said, "Well, it's the gilded age, the gilded age is very golden."
She added, "You know, I went with androgyny. I also did a little reveal of my boobs, but not the nipple since I still have to hide those apparently."
As for the rest of her look, Cara rocked some beautifully done golden eyes that highlighted her naturally blue eyes. Her golden locks were let loose.
Last year, in 2021, Delevingne sported a 'Peg the Patriarchy' phrase that she coined in 2015. During her April 2022 cover shoot with FootWearNews, Cara recalled her white Christian Dior pantsuit with the bib top that had the infamous phrase. She said, "I always have these stupid thoughts and ideas — not stupid but things that I [think] would never happen. I found it online and thought, yeah, this would be amazing to put on my shirt. And Dior said yes. I just didn’t think it was possible.”
Millenials on Twitter shared their opinions on this outfit. One said, "Shes so hot she can pull off anything". Another said, "Love those shoes". However, others had different opinions. One user said, "Sorry, but, lacks class!" Another netizen said, "Nah, kinda tasteless and un creative in my opinion." A humorous comment read, "Is this the “SAG” awards?"
