The temperatures rose on day seven of the Cannes Film Festival 2019.
On Monday, the crème de la crème of the filmmaking world stepped onto the red carpet for the premieres of ‘Young Ahmed (Le Jeune Ahmed)’, ‘Le Belle Epoque’ and 'Frankie'.
Here are some of our favorite looks of the day:
1. Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan rocked a classic white look in the ruffled embellished fur-cape custom designed by Ashi Studio at the premiere of 'La Belle Epoque'. Well, one might wonder how someone would sit in an outfit like that but, in all honesty, we'd give up sitting just to flaunt those plumes.
2. Josephine Japy
Josephine Japy wore a nude embroidered tulle dress from the Dior Fall19 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.
She accessorized the look with a beautiful Chopard neckpiece with obelisk-shaped stones as she let her hair down. The makeup was an airbrushed nude and the plunging neckline made the dress look fun and classy.
Japy was truly a beautiful sight on the Carpet.
3. Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott looked like a modern-day Cinderella in her Yanina Couture gown. The gown had a blue velvet top and a tulle bottom. She accessorized it with a Messika Jewellery choker with blue stones and matching earrings. Her makeup was simple and brought out her features and her hair was slicked into a sleek ponytail to give the illusion of a sleek side-sweep.
This was one of the best looks of the evening and we love how Pixie just had a "Lott" of fun with it!
4. Neelam Gill
Model Neelam Gill looked classy in a two piece white gown from Nicole Felicia Couture at the red carpet of the premiere of'La Belle Epoque'. She wore a nude lip and bold eyebrows and accessorized the outfit with silver stone earrings and a bracelet.
5. Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh walked the red carpet in Francois Civil at the premiere of 'La Belle Epoque'. She received the Female Revelation of the Year award at the Trophee Chopard Dinner later that night.
Pugh wore a bright blue fish cut dress with a thigh-high slit. The dress had a plunging neckline and had tiny orange flower detailing. She finished the look with blue earrings and matching orange stilettoes; and had her hair tied up into a high bun.
Pugh looked absolutely radiant in the blue and orange amalgamation. Not too many people can pull off a blue and orange combination, so kudos to her!
6. Madison Headrick
Madison Headrick wore a pink one-shouldered Ashi Studio gown with a giant flared sleeve. The gown had an asymmetrical hemline and a train. She accessorized the look with Pomellato chain link shaped jewellery and finished the look off with some bold winged-eyeliner and pink matching stilettos. Her hair was tied into a sleek bun.
We've seen a couple of pink red carpet looks this festival but this was definitely note-worthy.
7. Natalia Vodianova
Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova turned heads in Versace at the red carpet of the premiere of'La Belle Epoque'. The pale pink dress had silver detailing and had a halter neck. She accessorized the look with Chopard jewellery. Her makeup was simple and she wore a complementing bold lip.
Vodianova totally pulled off the "Old Hollywood" charm.
8. Paola Turani
Paola Turani wore a mermaid cut Tony Ward Couture dress with intricate black and pink detailing. The dress perfectly complemented her figure and the plunging neckline looked amazing. She accessorized with Pasquale Bruni hoops. She wore a nude lip and went with a bold, smokey eye and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail. Turani looked like a beautiful and more colourful Morticia Addams.
Anyone who pulls off Morticia Addams deserves a shoutout!
9. Petra Nemcova
Petra Nemcova looked absolutely stunning in a thigh-high slit Celia Kritharioti Couture gown at the red carpet of the premiere of 'La Belle Epoque'. The red couture piece was well cut and complemented her figure. She wore an emerald necklace and silver matching stilettoes. The makeup was extremely simple consisting mainly of her bold red lip colour. She also let her hair down, straight and sleek.
Nemcova was certainly 'present' and served looks at the premiere.
10. Kimberley Garner
Kimberley Garner channelled some serious "ice princess" vibes at the premiere of 'Le Belle Epoque'. Dressed in a pale blue Ziad Nakad gown, Garner looked absolutely stunning. The gown had intricate silver detailing and was cinched together at the waist with a silver embellished belt.
Garner let the dress do all the talking and kept the rest of the look very simple.
