Cannes 2019 Days 2, 3: Elle Fanning, Julianne Moore, Priyanka Chopra among best-dressed celebrities
Cannes Film Festival 2019 saw the biggest names in the film industry descend on the French Riviera.
The festival offers celebrities and stars countless opportunities to shine thanks to 11 days of red carpets, screenings, premieres, and photo calls where fashion takes centre stage.
On Wednesday, Hollywood A-listers walked the red carpet at the premiere of 'Les Miserables'. On Thursday night, the premiere of Elton John's biopic 'Rocketman' saw celebs in elaborate capes and gowns.
Here are our top 10 favorite looks from day two and three of the film festival.
1. Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore walked the red carpet in a gorgeous black gown by Louis Vuitton. The gown was styled with an embellished leather cape. She opted for a soft smokey eye and side-parted her hair with soft waves. She completed her look with diamond earrings by Chopard. If there is one thing to say about Moore, its that she's on a roll!
2. Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning's floral saga continued at the 'Les Miserables' premiere. She gave us summer vibes in this floral gown by Maison Valentino. The printed gown featured a plunging neckline accompanied by ruffled sleeves. Elle wore her blonde tresses in a stylish updo while wearing beautiful fresh spring flowers in her hair to complement the floral look. Leave it up to Fanning to make flower crowns the go-to accessory for Cannes.
3. Taron Egerton
Dressed in a silver velvet suit and black trousers, Taron Egerton channeled his inner 'Rocketman' at the premiere of Elton John's biopic. Egerton kept the look simple and looked like his absolute charming self with a black bowtie. He spiced the look with some super cool shades.
4. Tina Kunakey
The French supermodel was seen wearing a strapless Armani navy gown complete with a satin belt around her waist. The gown boasted a full and pleated skirt which consisted of both velvet and satin panels to complement the structured top half of the garment. She embellished her outfit with bejewelled perspex stilettos which were adorned with a glittering sun-shaped emblem on the toe. She added further detail to her ensemble with a pair of statement Messika earrings which were embellished with delicate diamonds. She let her curly locks down and looked absolutely stunning.
5.Richard Madden
The Bodyguard heartthrob cut a dapper figure in a white tuxedo jacket with black trousers and a bow tie — an ensemble custom made by Armani.
6. Rocio Munoz Morales
One of our favorite looks of the 'Les Miserables' premiere was of Rocio Munoz Morales.
Dressed in a black Armani two-piece sequined gown, Morales looked absolutely stunning. She kept her make-up simple and accessorized the look with a pair of Pasquale Bruni earrings and a ring. The dress flattered every part of her and cut a beautiful, clean look.
7. Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra opted for a glamorous black, strapless and sequined Roberto Cavalli Couture gown channeling old Hollywood for the 'Rocketman' premiere. She accessorized the look with Chopard earrings and wore her hair down.
8. Jean Rene aka JR
The artist Jean Rene opted for a classy look with a blue velvet blazer coupled with black trousers and a matching blue bow tie. JR spiced up his outfit with a black hat and a cool pair of black shades at the 'Les Miserables' premiere.
9. Izabel Goulart
Izabel Goulart has been serving looks for the past two days and we 'Cannes't' handle it. Dressed in silver Zuhair Murad pantsuit, Goulart showed off her legs, not only with the beautifully cut trousers but also with the thigh-high slit. She accessorized with Chopard Jewellery and was a real shining star. This was truly a beautiful outfit for Cannes and Goulart pulled it off effortlessly.
10. Sara Sampaio
Speaking of pantsuits and capes, Sara Sampaio attended the 'Rocketman' premiere and she was definitely there to out-dress the man himself. Decked in a silver Rami Kadi embellished suit, Sampaio sizzled the carpet. The cropped jacket had a train and she accessorized the outfit with a Boucheron necklace, earrings, and a ring. Her hair was tied up in a clean bun and she let the outfit do all the talking.
Sampaio was easily one of the best looks of the evening.
