Cannes 2019 Day 4: Bella Hadid, Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas join best-dressed celebs list
The fourth day of Cannes 2019 saw the premieres of 'Too old to Die young', 'Little Joe' and 'Pain and Glory'. Hollywood's A-listers mainly chose ballgowns and the cape-train trend continues. Here are some of our favorite looks from day four:
1. Penelope Cruz
Penélope Cruz made a glamorous entrance for the premiere of her film 'Pain And Glory' at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 17. Wearing a vintage-style white lace and navy dress, with a circle skirt, Cruz headed up the Croisette's famed steps for the international premiere, alongside Antonio Banderas and filmmaker Pedro Almodovar. The blue floral gown is simply stunning. The bow details on the shoulders, along with the cap sleeves and boat neck style make this a demure and classic look that is truly breathtaking. The scalloped edges add a little something extra, while the full skirt is super girly and gives us that princess moment.
2. Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid knows how to make an entrance! At the Cannes premiere of 'Pain and Glory', Hadid ensured all eyes were on her, thanks to a bold red Roberto Cavalli gown. Asymmetrical with a jeweled neckline and strategic cutouts, the look popped against the backdrop of scarlet stairs and throngs of photographers. All she needed was a pair of stilettos and matching ruby earrings to complete the transformation from supermodel to goddess. It looks like nobody can beat Hadid at rocking fiery hot red dresses.
3. Anja Rubik
Anja Rubik looked absolutely stunning in the black YSL jacket and trousers which she styled with a beautiful a-lined Bourcheron neckpiece. The entire look was very pulled together with her black stilettos and a bold red lip. Rubik's outfit was a total power stance and although simple and clean, it spoke volumes.
4. Gong Li
Gong Li looked beautiful in a floor-length golden gown which was intricately designed. The gown had flared sleeves which added a little oomph to the whole outfit. She kept the look elegant with simple makeup and matching jewelry. She channeled old Hollywood vibes and it was absolutely beautiful.
5. Hofit Golan
Hofit Golan has been pulling out her fancy ball-gown collection for the past few days of Cannes 2019. At the 'Pain and Glory' premiere, Golan was a vision in the pale pink Gaby Charbachy ball gown. The sheer ballgown had intricate detailing on the top and had a flared bottom with an umbrella skirt. The ball gown was accessorized with Boghossian jewelry and paired with airbrushed makeup and matching pink lip color. This was definitely one of Golan's best looks of the festival.
6. Madison Beer
The 20-year-old singer walked the red carpet at the annual festival just hours after debuting her new song 'Dear Society'. Madison wore a Georges Hobeika gown with Casadei heels and de Grisogono jewels. We've heard of the little black dress, but Beer proved that the black gown is a wardrobe essential.
7. Marica Pellegrinelli
Marica Pellegrinelli channeled her inner Mermaid vibes in a blue and silver sequined Versace gown. She wore a Chopard neckpiece and bracelet. The gown had a cross back and thigh-high slit. The gown totally flattered her curves.
8. Sofie Valkiers
The Red Carpet saw quite a few red dresses and one such dress that stood out was of Sofie Valkiers. Dressed in an Alexis Mabille off shoulder bow gown, Valkiers looked like an absolute pleasure to watch. She accessorized the gown with Atelier Swarovski jewelry. The gown had a sheer lace skirt and showed off the right amount of skin.
9. Antonio Banderas
Antonio Banderas has been winning our hearts since we were little. In a black floral Chanel suit and black trousers, Banderas looked absolutely ravishing at the premiere of his movie 'Pain And Glory'. He also wore a white bowtie to complete the look.
10. Guan Xiaotong
Dressed in an Atelier Versace gown, Guan Xiaotong looked like an absolute princess. The gown had a sheer midriff which had blue and gold detailing. She accessorized the outfit with Chopard jewelry and her hair was tied up into a sleek ponytail.
