Cannes 2019 Day 9: Izabel Goulart, Marion Cotillard and Adriana Lima among best-dressed celebrities
Spanning twelve long days, Cannes Film Festival is one of the biggest occasions in the film and fashion calendar for celebrities to dress up to the nine.
As such, day 9 of the Cannes Film Festival 2019 — which saw the premieres of 'Matthias Et Maxime' (Matthias and Maxime), 'The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil' and 'Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, Une Lumiere)' — saw celebrities walk the red carpet in some of the most stunning outfits of the festival.
Here are some of our favorite looks:
1. Marion Cotillard
For the screening of 'Matthias Et Maxime', Cotillard slipped on a pair of black shorts, a crop top, and oversized Balmain denim overcoat that left her toned midsection exposed. Her slick centre-parted hair perfectly framed Cotillard’s smouldering smoky eyes, even as her abs commanded most of the attention.
2. Sofia Nikitchuk
Miss Russia 2015, Sofia Nikitchuk wore a pink satin halter neck from her own line Nikiso. The dress looked very chic and the silver embellished trim at the neck went perfectly with her accessories and her silver stilettos.
3. Lea Seydoux
Seydoux wore a custom Louis Vuitton with Chopard jewellery at the premiere of 'Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une Lumiere)'. The blue straight-cut pants were perfectly tailored and went extremely well with the white and blue floral tank-top. The top had a slight sweetheart neckline and she completed the whole look with a chunky belt. Her makeup was simple and the red lip made her look fierce.
4. Monia Chokri
Fringes have been overdone on the red carpet, but Chokri in a pale blue Miu Miu dress with bejeweled fringes looked absolutely stunning. The dress had a thigh-high slit and a V-cut back. It complimented her figure and gave off an old Hollywood vibe. She accessorized the outfit with simple studded earrings and a dark blue clutch and completed the look with silver stilettos. She chose to go with a nude lip and winged eyeliner for the makeup and let the dress do all the talking.
5. Maimouna N'Diaye
Cannes jury member N'Diaye wore a yellow pantsuit with a yellow and orange head-scarf. The brightly colored pantsuit was perfect for the occasion and looked amazing on her. Paired with a red lip, the entire outfit was very on point. The whole look was chic and elegant and we loved the bright colors.
6. Izabel Goulart
One of the best-dressed celebrities this festival, Goulart didn't disappoint at the premiere of 'Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une Lumiere)'.
Nailing the chic look, Goulart caught our eyes with her off-the-shoulder burgundy tulle gown, which came complete with ruffled sleeves for added drama.
While her Valentino FW19 frock featured a floor-length skirt, the Sports Illustrated star still managed to showcase some flesh through the garment's see-through material. The former face of Armani Exchange displayed her wealth as she was dripped in Chopard diamond and ruby jewelry, featuring a chunky necklace, dangle earrings, and a statement ring. With her hair styled into a chic updo, the Brazilian bombshell's features were intensified with dark plum lipstick and blush-swept cheeks.
7. Adriana Lima
Adriana Lima totally knocked our socks off as she walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. Oozing sex appeal, Lima was serving all the glam possible in the shape of this Michael Kors Collection dress, which stylist Erin Walsh teamed with Louboutin heels and Chopard jewels.
In a pair of black bedazzled heels accessorised with chandelier earrings, she complemented her radiant features with a slick of glossy red lipstick, matte foundation and lashings of mascara. The sequin embellished number was perfect for such an occasion with the maxi length, front slit and high-neck design.
8. Josephine Skriver
Upping the style stakes, Josephine Skriver displayed her flair for fashion in a sizzling backless Ashi Studio white jumpsuit, including a pair of wide-leg trousers and an incredible turtle-neck cape. Adding color to her bold appearance, the Danish beauty wore an emerald green backlace teamed with a pair of brooch earrings. Her hair was tied into a sleek bun to reveal her open back which was complemented with winged eyeliner and faint pink lipgloss.
9. Iris Mittenaere
The stunning Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere looked ethereal in a couture light pink crystallized Michael Cinco signature ballgown with delicate feathers. The gown had a plunging neckline and she accessorized it with silver chandelier earrings and a ring.
10. Angela Ismailos
Director and actor Angela Ismailos looked absolutely stunning in a white and blue floral ball gown. She paired the look with a blue choker neckpiece and matching earrings. The dress was simple and chic and oozed elegance.
