NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Candace Owens asked a question on Twitter and singlehandedly put the word 'Botox' on the trending list. The American conservative and author asked "Male opinions only" on Botox/Filler, fake lips look because she is working on a show about social media mutating people's appetites. The Internet was split as women argued that men do not know much about such body mods whereas men have commented on it with concrete answers. This has enraged many women who think that men say they like 'natural beauty' but never notice when a woman has work done -- much like how they fall for the 'no makeup' makeup look all the time.

Owens took to her Twitter account to spark a beauty debate and wrote, "Serious question for men: Do you think that the Botox/Filler, fake lips look is attractive? Do you envision long term relationships with girls that look that way? Male opinions only, please. Working on a show about social media mutating our appetites." The debate soon kicked off and the thread was widely spread, making Botox a trending word. Reflecting on the same, Owens wrote, "Botox is now trending. Mostly because women are upset that I asked men a simple question. I did not expect this." While the 33-year-old political commentator was happy that the men participated, she was not happy with women commenting as she tweeted, "I don’t even care if women get Botox and fillers. I just wanted to know what men think about it. I did not want to know what women think about what men think about it. But here we are."

Candace Owens sparks beauty debate between women and men

One user wrote, "This is a hot topic for me since my GF is Slavic & they all do it. Fake lips are just that. Men want to touch and feel the real thing (not a blow up doll). Women do this because they think it makes them look better - which only seems to be true to them and their girlfriends." Another user tweeted, "Natural beauty is always best. Not only are implants, fillers, and cosmetic surgeries a huge turnoff for me, so are nails longer than fingertip length, fake eyelashes, high heels, pointed toe shoes, and gaudy jewelry. You could call me old fashioned, except I’m not old!" One more user wrote, "We’d rather have her lips be small/natural. Both sets."

As for women, the debate is different. One user commented, "Men couldn’t tell who has botox and who doesn’t even if they studied for this pop quiz" Another user believes that men do not notice the add-ons saying, "Tbf, I don’t think a lot of men can really tell a lot of the time" One more user commented, "I’m afraid it’s become so normalised that many people can’t even tell the difference. Like the “no makeup” makeup look."
