Brooklyn Beckham's ex Lexy Panterra says he's 'too immature' to marry Nicola Peltz: 'Has a new chick every month'
Brooklyn Beckham's former flame Lexy Panterra has revealed her shock at his engagement announcement to actress Nicola Peltz while also throwing some shade at her ex. According to Panterra, Brooklyn is much too immature to be engaged. She does not believe that her 21-year-old former boyfriend is ready to take on the marriage commitment yet.
While speaking to The Sun, Panterra, 31, spoke about hearing about Brooklyn's engagement and said, "I was pretty shocked and confused when I heard he got engaged. It’s not something anyone was expecting and, honestly, Brooklyn is not ready for that. He is very young and way too immature."
"I don’t know why he falls in love every few minutes. There is no consistency in his relationships. He has a new chick every month, so it’s surprising he would try to do this," Panterra said.
She added that she is pretty certain that there was no animosity between her and Peltz. "We never talked about getting engaged. I would never have considered marrying Brooklyn. For what? There is nothing he could have brought to the table beside his family’s money and I don’t need that."
"I have my own money and I’m happy with it. If I wanted money I should have gone after Cristiano Ronaldo. I don’t miss Brooklyn. We’re not even cool anymore. We have unfollowed each other on Instagram. I have moved on to better things," she revealed. "If he walked up to me at a festival now I would say, ‘I hope you’re enjoying my music and I hope you brought your mum’. I’ll admit that Brooklyn is a stud - but his dad is way more of a stud," Panterra added.
Panterra and Brooklyn broke up at the beginning of last year due to their long-distance relationships with Brooklyn shuttling between New York and England and her living in LA. She shared that she and Brooklyn had slowly "drifted apart". "We are not together anymore because of his immature ways and him not being a good friend. I don’t want to say exactly why we split. I don’t want to bash him. The long-distance thing was a factor for sure," Panterra revealed.
"It was a relationship that I could never take seriously, to be honest. The age gap was a big deal. You can tell immediately that he is a little immature. He was everything that you could imagine a young adult would be, at times a little bit more. Sometimes you just get fed up," she shared. "When I first found out he was getting engaged I was like, wow! But we honestly never talked about marriage and I couldn’t care less now. I’ve moved on," she continued.
Panterra also commented on Brooklyn's dressing style and said, "Brooklyn does look kind of babyish and I think the way he dresses doesn’t do him any favors. I think he needs to work on his friendships. He has a lot of random friends that come and go. It would be better for him if they stuck around."
It was just last weekend, Brooklyn announced his engagement to Peltz and said he had found his soul mate despite dating her for nine months. He also bought Peltz a special engagement ring estimated to cost around $439,185 (£350,000).
