Proud mum Victoria Beckham gushes over Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz's engagement: 'We couldn't be happier'
Victoria Beckham “could not be happier” for her eldest son Brooklyn and his fiancèe, Nicola Peltz. The 21-year-old announced the news on Instagram on Saturday, July 11. He posted a beautiful photo and wrote, “Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby xx.”

“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you, Harper, for this pic,” wrote Peltz thanking Brooklyn's young sister, sharing the same photo.
Victoria celebrated Brooklyn and Peltz’s engagement in an Instagram post on Saturday, as well, sharing the same photo that Brooklyn posted. She said, “Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness. We all love you both so much x @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven." "The MOST exciting news!!” she wrote alongside the photo. “We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married!"
Brooklyn is the eldest child of Victoria and husband David Beckham, who are also parents to 17-year-old Romeo, 15-year-old Cruz, and eight-year-old Harper. Brooklyn's brothers Romeo and Cruz also congratulated Brooklyn and their future sister-in-law. “Congratulations,” Romeo wrote on his Instagram story. Cruz said, “LOVE YOU.”
Peltz's father is tycoon Nelson Peltz, whose estimated net-worth exceeds $1.6 billion. He is the founding partner of Trian Fund Management, an investment management fund based in New York. Of his ten children, Nicola is the youngest. She is his daughter with Claudia, his third wife. Nelson and Claudia have been married for 35 years.
Brooklyn and Peltz went public with their relationship in January. While they are believed to have started dating around eight months ago, Brooklyn went public with their relationship when he wished the ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ star on her birthday.
The news of their engagement broke online on July 10. An insider told the Mirror that his parents had given their blessing for the marriage to take place. "David and Victoria have very much given this relationship their blessing. It's a very exciting time for the whole family and after a few previous rocky relationships, they think Brooklyn has landed on his feet," the source said.
Earlier last month, it was reported that Brooklyn was staying with Peltz during the pandemic, while his family was socially isolating at their home in the Cotswolds. The couple has been staying at Nicola's apartment in New York. In fact, Victoria had then posted on Instagram, “We are all missing @brooklynbeckham so much as he remains on lockdown in the US.”
Before this, Brooklyn was in a relationship with Hana Cross, who he began dating in December 2018 after the two of them were pictured holding hands after the British Fashion Awards.
