Brooke Burke shares personal struggles with auto-immune diseases, shows world her vulnerable side
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Brooke Burke, the popular TV star recently shared a post on Instagram that left her followers surprised. The 51-year-old beauty posted a picture of herself wearing a black bra top and leggings, revealing her well-toned abs. While her smile radiated happiness and confidence. She used this opportunity to show her followers the real person behind the celebrity persona.
Burke revealed that beneath the image of a successful, confident woman lies a "fragile" nature, as her body has been through four pregnancies and three auto-immune diseases. She encouraged her followers to get to know the woman behind the scenes and asked them what they saw in her.

What is Brooke Burke suffering from?
Burke, a well-known personality, has been vocal about her battle with thyroid cancer. She bravely fought the disease and emerged victorious, sharing her journey with her followers. She now stands as a survivor of cancer. However, Burke has also dealt with other health issues, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Hashimoto's disease. IBD is a condition that causes inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in chronic damage over time. The two main types of IBD are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
On the other hand, Hashimoto's disease is an auto-immune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks thyroid cells, causing damage and cell death. This condition can result in hypothyroidism, a disorder in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones to meet the body's needs. Despite these challenges, Burke has remained resilient and is a source of inspiration for many.

Currently, she is the host of 'Dancing with the Stars', a popular television dance competition that she previously won in 2008.
