LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne Spears, recently had a significant development in their relationship. After years of estrangement, Lynne visited Britney at her Los Angeles home.

Lynne, the author of 'Through the Storm', was spotted arriving at LAX airport before her highly anticipated reunion with her daughter. She took an Uber to Britney's mansion, where the meeting took place. According to TMZ, the gathering lasted approximately 30 minutes, and Britney's husband, Sam Asghari, was also present.

'So blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years'

The visit appears to have been successful, as Britney took to Instagram to acknowledge her mom's visit. She shared a throwback photo of herself as a young girl in a pink ballet tutu and wrote a caption reflecting on their meeting. "My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time … with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds," she wrote in the caption.

Continuing, the 'Gimme More' singer wrote, "And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!! I love you so much !!! Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards."

However, despite the emotional post, fans seem to believe that Britney took a subtle dig towards her mother. One fan wrote on Twitter, "Oh…. Britney Spears is DRAGGING her mother Lynne again 'I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards !!!'" while another commented, saying, "Lynne probably just wanted to forget about it and Britney is still upset (for obvious reasons)." A third wrote, "It sounds passive aggressive, and makes you question the entire thing. Was she forced to write a positive post in exchange for cooperation or something and added the sarcasm to make it less serious?" A fourth added, "Agree, she is being very sarcastic in a southern way in this post. A 30 minute meeting isn't 'time together' or enough time to catch up. This is a drag for sure." Another commented, "Right? It's so sarcastic or maybe her humor is just dark and twisted both can be true, she can love her mother AND be a tease a bit with 'nice to drink coffee isn't it?'
