Concerned fans of Britney Spears have kept a careful watch on her Instagram posts for months since the #FreeBritney movement picked up steam. Now, Britney has posted a photograph of an ice cream bar on her official Instagram with the caption, "This is the best thing I've seen in a while... looks so good @iamhalsey."

The interesting thing about this post is that the 'Toxic' singer has tagged Halsey, the current generation's pop princess. Replying to Britney's post, Halsey commented, "I'll send you some queen!!!!" This is because the picture Britney posted is actually the same picture posted by Halsey on July 21, over three months ago, on her Instagram with the caption, "I combined my art and kitchen skills and designed this special bar for Magnum Ice Cream using dark chocolate drizzles, black sesame seeds, candy flowers, pink jellies & Magnum Ruby. Make your own and tag Magnum #MagnumxHalsey #TrueToPleasure so I can see!"

Fans noticed this strange occurrence – of Britney posting Halsey's upload from July 21 – and were quick to question the singer about whether or not she's safe. One fan, worried about the pop star, wrote, "Hmm that's not your hand B..." while another fan, noting the same, said, "That’s not your hand babes." More concerned fans made similar comments while others simply demanded that the two singers, Britney and Halsey, collaborate.

On Twitter too, fans talked about how they want a collaboration between the two pop stars. A fan, hoping for the collaboration to come true, tweeted, "And then Halsey comes out with a Britney collab," while another said, "Why is Britney Spears sharing on old ice cream from Halsey that was originally posted in July...and more importantly, why do I care so much?"

Asking for a collab, another fan wrote, "Not britney and halsey interacting my heart can’t take this! P.S. collab pls."

Talking about the excitement caused by the interaction between Britney and Halsey, a fan wrote, "What I most love on Britney's Instagram is the fact that she searches for different things in different Instagram accounts & people fall in love with it. Halsey must be freaking out right now. Girl don't lose time. Follow her on Instagram. Maybe when she is free there will be a collab."

Another, talking about how much Halsey adores Britney, said, "And I remember on Billboard music when Britney performed in 2016 @halsey was freaking out watching her idol on stage. We know you love her and this is lovely." Another fan simply wrote, "seeing Britney Spears and Halsey interact truly brightened up my day."

The post by Halsey was an official promotional post for Belgium's Magnum Ice Cream as the singer had earlier posted, "Magnum Ice Cream and I are so excited to bring you a very special, one off acoustic #TrueToPleasure performance. Join me on my YouTube this Thursday at 9am PST / 5pm GMT where I’ll be sharing my biggest pleasure with you all, playing music. This performance will only be available for 30mins, so don’t miss it! We are also encouraging donations to @GLSEN, an organization that provides LGBTQ students with an educational environment free from judgment and harassment. Magnum Ice Cream has pledged $50,000. Can’t wait to see you all then!"

The #FreeBritney movement, on the other hand, is for her fans to show support as they earlier discovered that the 38-year-old has been living under a court-controlled conservatorship for more than a decade now. Fans have ever since been worried about Britney's well-being since a conservatorship program is typically designed to protect people with mental health issues who are unable to take care of themselves.
