Coronavirus pandemic has made people fearful about rushing to the hospital and in the latest episode (August 26) of the show, Trace Bates had to come to terms with the fact that he had no other option. Trace and Warden Bates were too busy playing with each other as the brothers were excited to play with the new basketball hoop in their backyard.

With coronavirus pandemic putting a halt to day-to-day activities, Warden and Trace were out spending their time playing basketball. Recalling how the events played out, Warden revealed that they were having an intense match that led them to ignore signs of how things could end up in an accident. He further revealed that with a point differential of two, they were trying their best to bring on their best game. Warden then revealed that Trace was trying to aim for the hoop and decided to take a big jump. During this time, Warden went under him in a bid to defend. Unfortunately, things did not work out the way he had planned.

Once Trace got down, he crashed face-first into Warden's head and it was heavily bruised. It reached a point where Trace was not able to open his eyes. Fearful about what may happen, Trace knew that it was best to rush to the hospital before things got worse. He was worried about the unbearable pain he was feeling. At the same time, he feared that it might be a concussion. Trace was not also happy with the fact that they had to head to the emergency room amid Covid-19. Once he reached the hospital, the staff made sure all the necessary precautions were taken. Luckily, his eye was treated and the doctor informed him that there was no bleeding.

However, he asked Trace to take care of it for a couple of weeks. Trace was happy to hear that it was nothing serious. At the same time, his fear of catching Covid-19 also disappeared once he stepped out of the hospital.

With the doctor giving him a green light to head back home, Trace was happy to put the incident behind and start a match again.

'Bringing Up Bates' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm ET on UP.
