LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Fans have reacted on social media after lead singer Brendon Urie decided to disband his long-running pop-rock band, 'Panic! at the Disco,' in a statement on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. However, the band which is best known for its 2006 single 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies', will continue the final UK tour ending by March 10, 2023.

According to Brendon's post, he has decided to devote his time and attention to his family and their journey together, as the couple is expecting a child 'very soon'. In a statement shared on Instagram, Brendon started the post by saying, "It's been a hell of a Journey".

"But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin," Brendon continued. The statement further added, " We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure."  Brendon called the end to the chapter and announced, "That said, I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more."

Meanwhile, fan reactions to the unexpected announcement have been mixed. "Panic at the disco breaking up has me so confused as they were my favorite band for so long," one fan said on Twitter, and another added, "have never smiled to myself so much in my life…panic at the disco is dead." "Panic! At the Disco breaking up… Ngl my heart hurts," one more wrote.

Though a large number of fans went down memory lane, many showed no remorse for the band's split. "Knowing I'll never have to hear another new panic at the disco song made my day tbh," one of the users wrote. Another added, "something about panic at the disco ending is so wild. was never a big fan but like every emo kid growing up, you’ve dabbled and know the classics." A fan thanked songwriter, singer, and former lead guitarist saying, "anyway, thank you Ryan Ross for creating panic at the disco and writing music that genuinely changed my life. I love you forever."

One social media user said, "me making fun of panic! ending.. at this point, it wasn't even panic at the disco, just Brendon hitting the wrong notes." One more fan reminded Pete Wentz, "Thinking about panic at the disco existing because of Pete Wentz and panic at the disco ending because of Pete Wentz." One of the emotional fans asked, "Has anyone else heard the news about Panic! At The Disco? how r are u holding up?".  One fan said, "Panic at the disco breaking up while Paramore, fall out boy, and my chemical romance are all active again....... oh how the turntables."
