Lucy Illingworth: Blind and autistic pianist, 13, leaves coronation concert attendees speechless
LONDON, UK: Attendess at King Charles' coronation concert were left speechless when 13-year-old blind and autistic pianist, Lucy Illingworth, started performing. She was among the artistes selected to perform at the event held on Windsor Castle's grounds.
The newly-crowned King and Queen were moved by the teenager's rendition of Bach's prelude in C Major, which brought smiles and praise from Kate, Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte, according to the Daily Mail. Illingworth's mother, Candice, was delighted as she sat next to her gifted daughter, who charmed those in attendance. The 20,000 spectators seated at Windsor Castle were certainly left speechless by the pianist's touching performance.

Who is Lucy Illingworth?
Illingworth, a pianist from Yorkshire, is mostly non-verbal and was born with cancerous tumors in both of her eyes. She has chromosome 16 duplication, which results in intellectual disabilities, developmental delay and symptoms of autism.
Illingworth gained fame after participating in the Channel 4 program, 'The Piano', which invites pianists to perform in front of a panel of judges in an effort to uncover the nation's top amateur pianists. She is a member of Queen Camilla's patronage organization, the Amber Trust.

Who performed at the Coronation Concert?
Take That, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were among the artistes who performed at the Coronation Concert. There were also performances by The Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs and legendary rock guitarist Steve Winwood. Bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, opera diva Andrea Bocelli and composer Alexis Ffrench also performed at the event.
