Seven-year-itch? Friends fear Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are 'falling out of love'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s steadfast romance has reportedly hit a rocky patch as their friends fear they are "falling out of love". The 'Rich Girl' singer, 53, and her country artist husband, 46, even 'looked miserable’ when they attended NASCAR's Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum in Los Angeles on February 5.
During her guest appearance, the three-time Grammy winner appeared in great spirit and captivated the sportscasters in the Fox broadcast booth by picking the winner while sharing a funny memory of the time she met Clint Bowyer when he was inebriated. Stefani also shared a smiley selfie from the event but an insider revealed that the snap didn't give a full picture of their time at the event. The tipster, who was present at the event, said the couple “looked miserable" and "things between them seemed really tense," Radar Online reported.

'Thought it was waxwork': Internet trolls Gwen Stefani's new ‘unrecognizable’ look for 'The Voice'
This shocking revelation came as a close friend of the couple noted that they have been experiencing marriage struggles of late. Gwen and Blake started dating in 2015 after meeting as co-judges on NBC's 'The Voice' in 2014. They tied the knot in 2021. However, their pal told Radar Online that "when they started dating, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. But the spark started disappearing after their wedding." The source close to the couple said, "It seems like they argue constantly now — they've even slept in separate bedrooms after particularly bad fights. Friends are worried Gwen and Blake are falling out of love.”
Why did Blake Shelton leave 'The Voice'?
The couple had difficulties even though they enjoyed the convenience and novelty of performing together on ‘The Voice’. They "played it sweet for the cameras as when they were both coaches," said the source, "but behind the scenes, there was sometimes a clash of egos. He would often get all the attention. And that would hit a nerve — she was jealous." The tipster continued by saying that Shelton loved being on the singing reality show but the drama off-camera forced him to leave the show.
"He's been suffering from burnout," contended the insider. "He loves being the star of The Voice, but there's so much drama going on behind the scenes — allegations of racism last season, competing with other coaches over singers, backstabbing, and the tight filming schedule combined with his tour dates — it just all became overwhelming for him.”
Why Gwen Stefani asked Blake Shelton to cut ties with Adam Levine
However, another source revealed that Shelton left the show in a bid to save his marriage. “Gwen wants him to spend more time with her, so they can ensure a happy future together.” It was also reported that Stefani had asked Shelton to cut his ties with Adam Levine, who made headlines after allegations surfaced that he had cheated on his wife Behati Prinsloo by sexting several other women, including Sumner Stroh. “For her, it’s personal,” the source spilled. “She isn’t worried about Adam being a bad influence [on Blake], this is about principle.”
