Blackpink's Jennie and Rose in LA: Collab possibilities from Dua Lipa to Bella Poarch

Jennie and Rosé were in LA for the last few weeks to work on some new music

Back in June when Blackpink's Jennie and Rosé appeared in LA, California, the internet went wild. From absurd pregnancy rumors to fan sightings, netizens wondered what the two K-pop idols were doing in the US. Their agency, YG Entertainment, ended up announcing that the two were working on new music there. While they may have been hard at work, a few meetings with celebrity friends have led to tons of collab speculations.

From hanging out with Dua Lipa, who they collabed with back in 2018, to meeting TikTok star Bella Poarch, Blinks wondered what the girls were up to. Many are curious to know if the two are just hanging out with their friends or if they are working on some secret collaborations that they’ll end up surprising us with. Well, let’s take a look at possible collaborations that might happen thanks to Jennie and Rosé’s trip to LA.

Dua Lipa

Fans of both Dua Lipa and Jennie were surprised when the two posted a selfie together. On July 6, Dua Lipa took to her Twitter to share the selfie with Jennie captioning it with ‘peek into the week’. Well, they’re no strangers since Blackpink has actually worked with Dua Lipa on her 2018 song ‘Kiss and Make Up’. But that also strengthens the possibility that they might collab once again.

Moises Arias and Jaden Smith

This could probably be the strangest squad from this list, but we are absolutely here for it. Moises Arias, known for his legendary role as Rico in 'Hannah Montana', and singer-actor Jaden Smith hung out with Jennie and Rosé on July 2. Arias posted photos of the day on his Instagram Story. Smith has been focusing on his singing career for a while now and if this meet-up leads to a feature in his next single, it would definitely be interesting for the girls since he has a penchant for indie/R&B music.

Bella Poarch

TikTok star Bella Poarch who went viral for her song ‘Build a Bitch’ is the latest celebrity that has hung out with Jennie and Rosé in LA. On July 22, pictures surfaced online of the three talking in a hotel lobby from weeks ago. Many believe that the photo was taken on July 3. They were then seen leaving the hotel separately. Poarch is known to be a fan of the group and stated that she would love to collaborate with Rosé if she ever got a chance. Well, we hope she seized this opportunity whether it is for a song or just a TikTok video. 

DJs Simi and Haze Khadra

Looks like July 3 must have been a busy day for Jennie and Rosé. According to the twins Simi and Haze’s Instagram, the four girls were seen hanging out and playing at an arcade. The US-Palestinian DJs have been taking over the clubbing scene for a while now. And it would definitely be fun if they did some sort of remix or track with the K-pop idols.

Olivia Rodrigo

On July 13, Rosé was seen having dinner with Olivia Rodrigo, director Petra Collins and stylist Devon Carlson. The latter two are known to have worked with Rodrigo for her ‘good 4 u’ music video. Collins has also worked with Blackpink during a Vogue photoshoot. Additionally, both Rodrigo and Blackpink are under Interscope Records which just adds more fuel to the fire. Well, this is one possible collab that almost everyone believes is happening. 

John Mayer

There was much hullabaloo when John Mayer noticed Rosé’s cover of his song ‘Slow Dancing In A Burning Room’ in early July. Rosé, who is a huge fan of the country singer was ecstatic as he gave her a shoutout. Around a week later, he ended up gifting her a guitar from his newly launched collection. While he’s sold his LA home and has been living in Montana for a while, it doesn’t seem impossible to meet up if the girls and Mayer decided to work on some music together.

Halsey 

Rosé and Jennie first sparked pregnancy rumors when they were seen shopping at a children’s clothing store. The shop owner even confirmed that the two had indeed bought several items. While the pregnancy rumors were debunked, another theory has cropped up. Some people believe that the two girls could have been gift shopping for Halsey’s baby shower. This seems like a stretch since they could also have been buying things for kids in their family. It was later revealed that Rosé also visited YSL Creative Director’s newborn and gifted them something. Nevertheless, it would still be cool if the girls did meet up with Halsey or considered a collab since Rosé is close to her.
