Jisoo of the mega k-pop girl group Blackpink is breaking records and it has nothing to do with music. After her debut as a guest on the 'Tasty Square' variety show aka 'Delicious Rendezvous', fans went on a frenzy on Twitter.

'Tasty Square' is an entertainment program that aims at helping struggling farmers and fisherman in South Korea. To promote and help them, the show sees guests creating new dishes with not so popular farm products from the market. It was originally scheduled to be aired for only 12 episodes but it continued for the first half of 2020 due to rave reviews.

Jisoo's appearance started with a live broadcast on SBS TV on August 3, 2020, at 12 pm KST (which is 11 pm ET on August 2). The episode saw the singer cooking and promoting zucchinis while dancing and flipping the pan to her heart's content but her excitement wasn't nearly as large as her viewers.

"74K views, 3M likes, the most for Tasty Square live, plus all zucchinis sold out in 35 minutes. This is the power of #JISOO. She’s so entertaining as well, let her promote more," said a fan.

Another wrote, "Jisoo broke the view and like record for Tasty Square AND made the product sell out in record time. WAKE UP YG WE NEED HER ON MORE VARIETY SHOWS NOW!!"

Another fan added, "Jisoo’s live already set a new record for the highest number of viewers! and the number keeps increasing!"

Many comments had clips and screenshot of fan-favorite moments from Jisoo with comments such as "look at her genuine reaction when she did the pan flip" and "her laugh made my day".

One fan said, "Jisoo's beauty and cuteness never fail to make blinks smile!"

Fans obviously want to see a lot more of Jisoo on reality shows. Her bubbly and cute personality is undeniably infectious and it is a refreshing step away from the stage spotlight for a while. Could the love of her fans see her returning to TV with her own culinary cooking show? Based on Jisoo's love for cooking, we can only hope so. She has, however, appeared on TV before with another SBS reality show titled 'Inkigayo'. Her role as host began in 2017 and ended in 2018.

Jisoo has also featured in TV series such as the South Korean show 'The Producers', which consisted of 12 episodes and ran for a month in 2015, 'Part-Time Idols' which aired in 2017 and 'Arthdal Chronicles' where she played the role of Sae Na-rae. The latter show is a South Korean mythical story that aired every Saturday and Sunday on tvN starting June 1, 2019. It also premiered internationally on Netflix.

As far as her music is concerned, Jisoo's group Blackpink are becoming increasingly popular by the day. The group currently have 1.1M followers on Twitter and 26.6M followers on Instagram. Jisoo made her debut as a vocalist as a member of Blackpink in August 2016.
