More than two years after its Season 1, ‘Black Summer’ is finally returning to Netflix with its second season and the stakes are really higher this time as Rose (Jaime King) and the gang fight the zombies for surviving the post-apocalyptic world.

The first season of the show was really amazing and kept viewers at the age of their seats. The makers have now the responsibility to take the series to a whole new level by taking viewers on another exhilarating ride. And if you are interested in zombie dramas then you may want to check out 'Alive' and or 'Reality Z' on Netflix.

To create curiosity in the minds of people, Netflix, and the makers released a new clip from the upcoming season that shows Rose going to any lengths for saving her daughter and the people close to her. The clip starts with Rose pointing the gun at a man who is trying to find refuge with the gang. However, Rose feels that he is “not useful”.

The man pleads with her and says he won’t be able to survive the zombies if he goes out. Meanwhile, in the background we can see and hear the door banging as one of the zombies is heard growling behind the door. When he continues, “I can't. I'll die. Please, I'll help you,” a stubborn Rose insists that he leaves and the man resists again. She then states, “Then I'm going to have to shoot you.”

But who is the mysterious man? And why Rose doesn’t want to take him in? It seems the man has already been bitten by the undead and will be transforming into a zombie in no time. That’s why Rose feels that she has to shoot him. Another reason for Rose to be this angry at him might be his nature. She can’t trust him and believes if he stays, the whole gang and her daughter Anna (Zoe Marlett) might get in trouble.

But it seems that the man goes out of the safehouse eventually. Although the clip doesn’t show him going out, one of the photos released by Netflix shows him turning into a zombie. Will Rose overcome that threat and save the gang? That burning question will be answered in the upcoming edition.

A still from 'Black Summer' (Netflix)

The minute-long teaser dropped just days after the first trailer for Black Summer's second season debuted. We already know that she will do anything to keep her daughter safe. The duo will be relocating to a new safehouse and doing everything to survive the harsh weather with limited resources.

The series, ‘Black Summer’, is a prequel to ‘Z Nation’. In ‘Z Nation’, ‘Black Summer’ is known for the lack of food, causing mass starvation adding to the ever-growing undead population.

‘Black Summer’ Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Thursday, June 17, at 3 am ET.
