Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell welcome baby girl Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, middle names honor Steve Irwin
Bindi Irwin along with her husband Chandler Powell has recently become a proud parent of a baby girl. The 22-year-old daughter of "Wildlife Warrior" Steve Irwin took to Instagram to announce the big news and also revealed that the little one’s two middle names have been picked to pay tribute to her late father.
Bindi wrote on the social media platform, “March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter.” Announcing the baby’s name and its significance, she continued, “Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.”

“Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad. There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed,” she concluded. Along with the sweet caption, the conservationist also posted two beautiful pictures. The first photo showed her and the 24-year-old holding the newborn together while the second one showed Grace’s onesie that included an Australian koala printed on the chest.
The happy news came months after Bindi announced in August last year that she was expecting a baby with the American former wakeboarder. At that time, the Australian television personality also shared the big news of her life on Instagram. She posted a beautiful picture of her with Chandler while holding up a tiny outfit for their baby. She captioned it as, “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”
Bindi and Chandler had dated for several years before tying the knot at an Australian zoo in March 2020. They reportedly exchanged vows secretly in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The daughter of late Steve Irwin and her American beau also spoke excitedly about their big day before the actual wedding as they appeared on 'Good Morning America' earlier. "We're so excited. It's where we met and where we got engaged so it only makes sense that we'd have it at Australia Zoo. See, I think this wedding is going to be unique because it's going to be at the zoo and with tons of animals,” Chandler said while Bindi added, “I'm not sure how many people have walked down the aisle with a koala, but we may be setting some new trends for weddings from here on out."
