The daughter of late Steve Irwin, Bindi, has announced one of the biggest news of her life on Instagram as she shared soon she will be a mother. The 22-year-old is expecting her firstborn with her husband Chandler Powell, whom she married in March this year.

Sharing a very lovely picture of her with Powell while holding up a tiny outfit for their baby, Bindi wrote: “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”

The pregnancy announcement came a few days after the television personality celebrated the one year anniversary of her engagement to Powell. In the social media post, she had posed lovingly with her husband while wearing a very beautiful blue floral dress. “Just over a year ago @chandlerpowell proposed. Now I get to call this incredible man my husband. Here’s to a lifetime of adventure together. ❤️ My sunshine, I love you with all my heart,” the caption of the post had read.

The couple, very much in love with each other, got engaged at Australia Zoo in Queensland on the day of Bindi’s 21st birthday on July 24, 2019. After enjoying a few months of courtship, they tied the knot on March 25, 2020, in a makeshift ceremony at Australia Zoo. Bindi and Powell had to celebrate their big day without any guests or elaborate functions because of Covid-19 restrictions.

The wedding ceremony took place hours after Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison enforced restrictions on public ceremonies with more than five people in attendance. On their special day, Bindi's mother Terri and brother Robert were present while Terri's close confidant, US-based author Steve Maraboli, officiated the ceremony.

Soon after walking down the aisle, Bindi took to Instagram to share the big news and also confirm that in the light of the pandemic, she and her husband had decided not to invite any guests to the wedding. At the time, she wrote, “March 25th 2020 ❤️ We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos.”

“Today we celebrated life and reveled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens. Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory. We shared tears and smiles and love,” the blonde beauty had added.
