Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell just expanded their family and adopted a puppy!

The couple who got engaged on Irwin's birthday, Powell, 23, revealed on his Instagram on Tuesday, December 31. Powell shared three cute photographs of their puppy who appeared to be a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

The pair named the pooch 'Piggy'. Powell had captioned the post, "Welcoming our newest and cutest family member. Introducing Piggy our gorgeous puppy. Can’t wait to begin the new decade giving this sweetheart the happiest and most loving home🧡 2020 here we come!"

"Here’s to the next incredible life chapter. So much love and light ❤️," 21-year-old Irwin responded to her fiancé's post. The couple is all set to tie the knot at the Australia zoo next year. This is the place that the two had met in 2013 when Powell was visiting the zoo.

Just last week, the pair had celebrated Christmas together with Irwin sharing two adorable pictures of them sporting their holiday sweaters. Irwin had captioned the image, "All smiles because I’m in love with you, it’s Christmas and my sweater lights up…"

She spoke to People magazine in October and opened up on how she was looking for ways to honor her late father, Steve Irwin, at their upcoming wedding. She shared, "I really want to include Dad on the day and make sure that he is with us in some way — just little bits of Dad that will make it feel like he’s there with us."

"We’ll have candle lighting ceremony, so we’ll be able to all get up as a little family and light a candle in his honor and share a few words on what an amazing dad he was and still is," she continued.

On Australian Father's Day which September 1, she shared a heartwarming video montage from her childhood as a tribute to her father. We had previously reported that the video showed a number of touching moments when she played with the Crocodile Hunter and her mother as a baby.

The video showed Steve entertaining his daughter with soft toys of a snake and a crocodile — animals that he used to encounter in real life as a zookeeper and a conservationist.
