Who is Firerose? Billy Ray Cyrus, 61, reportedly ENGAGED to 'younger' singer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus seems to have moved on after his wife of 28 years, Tish Cyrus, filed for divorce five months ago. Cyrus, father of five - daughters Brandi, 35, Miley, 29, and Noah, 22, and sons Trace, 33, and Braison, 28, seems to have engaged a singer younger than Miley. New reports claim that he is now engaged to singer Firerose after they worked with one another on a single last year titled 'New Day'.
The 'Achy Breaky Heart' artist, 61, is said to be engaged to Firerose as she was spotted with a huge diamond ring, especially after both the people were seen heavily on each other's social media, as reported by the Us Sun. The outlet also reports that this blossoming relationship can cause a major drift between the singer and the 'Wrecking Ball' singer, as it was previously reported that both, father and daughter, had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The cause of this trouble was thought to be the fact that the 'Old Town Road' singer announced his split with Tish almost after 30 years of marriage.

A source told the outlet, "Miley is all about peace but she didn’t agree with some things that her father has done. It has really escalated and they are not on good terms. There were words exchanged over what happened towards the end of Billy and Tish’s marriage, and since then, but they clearly see things very differently. Neither of them is particularly eager to make amends right now without an apology. The rest of the family are hoping it will blow over soon and they will be able to make up, but Billy and Miley are both upset."
Who is Firerose?
Firerose, as per her website, is a Sydney-born artist who is currently based out of LA. She moved from Australia to LA after graduating from the Newtown School for the Performing Arts in Sydney. In recent years, she has constantly performed in places like The Viper Room, The Rainbow Room as well as South by Southwest. In a conversation with Main Street Nashville, the singer talked about moving to the States at the age of 19, saying, "There was this very strong calling in me that I felt my fate was to be in America."
Talking about the engagement, a source told the Us Sun, "Billy is happier than he has been in a long time with Firerose. There had been problems in his marriage for a while. He and Tish have been on and off for the best part of a decade, but things had been over for some time before the announcement in April. Not everyone sees his decision to move on so quickly in the same light though. There has been some tension with Miley, which is sad to see, but everyone is hopeful that they will be able to get over it soon enough. Thankfully his other kids do not have an issue with him and he has just collaborated with his youngest, Noah, on a song." It was unclear whether the country singer started seeing the songstress while he was married to Tish or not, but the divorce proceedings revealed that the couple had not been living under the same roof for almost two years.
