Why did Bill O'Reilly refuse to call Joe Biden 'president'? Ex-TV host asks for 'white supremacy' proof

When O'Reilly took to Twitter to dispute Biden's speech, he invited a lot of wrath. 'Excuse me. That’s President Biden, you fired old jackass. Go home, read a book,' tweeted a user

During a CNN town hall on Tuesday, February 16, President Joe Biden expressed concerns over the increasing problem of white supremacy and that former military and former police officers were fueling the “growth of white supremacy.”

Saying that the greatest threat to America is from domestic terror, Biden sparked a great deal of furor on Twitter with many taking to the social media site to slam him. One of them was former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly who wrote on Twitter, "Mr Biden says there is a 'rise' in white supremacy. Where?" And with his attempt at a rebuttal, O'Reilly angered a lot of Biden's supporters for not addressing him in the right manner — as President Biden.

During the town hall, Biden said, “I got involved in politics, to begin with, because of civil rights and opposition to white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan and the most dangerous people in America continue to exist. That is the greatest threat of terror in America, domestic terror."

Adding that his DOJ would focus on civil rights, the president said, "So I would make sure my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks. I would make sure we focus on how to deal with the rise of white supremacy. You see what’s happening the studies that are beginning to be done, maybe at your university as well, about the impact of former military, former police officers on the growth of white supremacy in some of these groups.”

In other tweets, O'Reilly continued to address the president as "Mr" despite facing a backlash. "Mr Biden is rambling now. He’s lost focus. He’s saying human rights is his goal with China. Sure. Magic wand?"

Biden continued, “You may remember in one of my debates from the former president, I asked him to condemn the Proud Boys, he wouldn’t do. He said stand standby and stand, ready whatever the phrase exactly was. It is a bane on our existence. It has always been as Lincoln said we have to you appear to a battle angels these guys are not and women they are in fact demented. They are dangerous people.”

But when O'Reilly took to Twitter to dispute Biden's speech, he invited a lot of wrath on Twitter. "Excuse me. That’s President Biden, you fired old jackass. Go home, read a book," one tweeted to him.

And soon enough, people started coming at O'Reilly with all kinds of facts and insults. "That's President Biden to you. As for evidence for this rise in the white supremacy movement. Let me think about that, I'll get back to you," one tweeted along with the picture of a man carrying the Confederate flag in the Capitol riots that took place on January 6.

"1) That’s PRESIDENT Biden and 2) Everywhere," a user answered O'Reilly in probably the simplest of ways. "That's President Biden, and I'm sure if you review the attendees of January 6th insurrection and their social media accounts you'll be able to find it," another explained.

But then, there are far bigger problems at hand too. Apart from the ever-increasing threat of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Texas is going through tough times. "'Ummm that's PRESIDENT Biden to you' trending in response to somebody addressing him as 'mr', while millions of texans are in danger bc of infrastructural problems that a green new deal bill would fix, that biden would never sign in a million years. love it here," a user tweeted.
