Legendary TV actress Betty White died at 99 of natural causes at her Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on December 31 and now her fans are interested to find out where her final resting place will be so that they can properly honor their idol.

White’s agent Jeff Witjas confirmed her death in a statement that read: “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever. I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.” White and Ludden were married in 1963 and were together until his death from stomach cancer. She became a stepmom to his three children and she never had kids of her own. Even the very last word of the veteran star happened to be the name of her late husband. As a result, her fans have naturally assumed that her final resting place would be beside Ludden.

Where will Betty White be buried?

After he died of stomach cancer on June 9, 1981, Ludden was buried in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, at the Graceland Cemetery. His modest tombstone reads Allen E. Ludden, Capt US Army World War II, according to the Sun. The cemetery confirmed to the outlet there is a plot available next to Ludden, though they have not been contacted by the actress' family yet. White's agent Jeff Witjas told ABC News that she will not be laid to rest next to her late husband. The reason behind this was not given even though White and Ludden have been married for 18 years.

Meanwhile, the locals of Mineral Point could not be more proud of the Hollywood connection. Mayor Jason Basting said: “Allen Ludden and Betty White is our connection to Hollywood here in Mineral Point. For a small town of 2,600 people, it’s pretty neat to have that kind of connection and she’s a legend.” It was not disclosed where White will be buried.

As we reported earlier, Witjas revealed to People magazine Betty White’s funeral will be a very personal affair. According to Witjas, she never wanted to make a fuss over her. He asserted, “The arrangements are being handled privately and that was Betty's wish," adding, "as in life, she never wanted people to make a fuss over her."

Betty White and Allen Ludden

In 1961, the 'Golden Girls' actress met her third husband when she was a guest on the game show 'Password', which he hosted. “We felt like we knew each other,” White said in an interview with the Television Academy Foundation in 1997. White told People in a past interview of the early stages of her and Ludden's relationship: “He would call me from wherever he was working and say, ‘You wanna go out to dinner? You wanna have a date?' And I’d say, ‘Sure!’ Well, going out to dinner meant he’d stop on the way home and pick up a chicken and put it on the barbecue. We’d put on a stack of records, have our barbecue and dance. We enjoyed each other.”

Even their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame are next to each other. She said at the 1988 unveiling of his achievement: “I cannot express what this day means to me. Don't be surprised if in the wee hours of the morning our stars are fooling around.” During a 2011 interview with Anderson Cooper when asked why she never remarried: "I had the love of my life. If you've had the best who needs the rest?”
