'Better Call Saul' Season 6 Episode 11: Is Kim Wexler alive? 'Breaking Bad' finally gives the answer

One of the most devastating moments in this season has been Kim Wexler’s exit. It was not just the exit that hit everyone hard, but the way she went out of Saul Goodman’s life was so heartbreaking. Kim forgot herself completely in the middle of that chaos and the story she made about Howard Hamlin was the final nail in the coffin. She left her law practice and told Saul (Bob Odenkirk) that they are “poison” for each other and everyone around them. Since then, we haven’t heard anything about Kim, but tonight’s episode was different. Way different than what we saw last week.

In tonight’s episode, we saw Francesca making a return and having a phone call with Gene. They were talking about how their lives are going after the s**t went down and Francesca was not that happy talking about it. Gene asked if anything remained intact, but Francesa said that the Feds took it all. But some of their guys made it out. People like Huell and Ira were away from danger and started a new life. However, the most important part came right towards the end, when Francesca told Saul that she had a call with Kim (Rhea Seehorn) and she was asking about him. Yes, guys. Kim is still alive and now lives in Florida.

Gene, aka Saul Goodman, was really surprised and asked Francesca if she was joking. She said that she was not and told her that Kim asked her if Saul was still alive. After disconnecting the call, Saul tried calling an organization where Kim was working and tried talking to her. But you know how the writers tease us and this is what they did this time around. As Saul called Kim via a pay-phone, the camera panned out and we started hearing the sound of traffic while Saul got furious while talking on the phone. The phone call ended with Saul banging the receiver on the machine and he also broke one of the glasses in the telephone booth as well.

It seems Kim has moved on with her life and has met someone who made him feel good. Maybe that’s the reason why Saul was so furious on the call or Kim knew who called and said no to even attending the call. Nevertheless, it’s good to know that Kim is still alive and working somewhere. Looks like she found someone or something that didn’t make her feel like “poison.”

As we know, Kim doesn’t appear in the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe, so there were assumptions that she might have died for everything she did in the past to help Saul. Finally, people can be at peace with the fact that she is very much alive.
