BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate, the contentious social media influencer, found himself at the center of a heated verbal attack by Ben Shapiro, a political commentator from the Daily Wire.

This exchange was sparked by Tate's statement advocating for peace as the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian millitant group Hamas escalates.

Tate's remarks have frequently attracted criticism for their divisive content, provoking controversy within the online community.

Notably, during the ongoing conflict, one of the most significant controversies surrounding Andrew Tate arose when he announced a donation of $200,000 to Palestine.

The Israel-Hamas conflict has witnessed a distressing escalation in violence and civilian casualties on both sides since October 7.

In a recent tweet on the platform 'X', Shapiro shared a video posted by 'X' user @MarioNawfal, depicting the ongoing bombings amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Accompanying the video was a statement from The UN Special Rapporteur in Palestine, who expressed deep concern and called for a ceasefire by stating, "We are horrified by what is happening and we call for a truce."

In response to this video, Shapiro, who is of Jewish heritage and wants a comprehensive solution to the Hamas issue, indirectly rebuked the UN Special Rapporteur by saying, "And they can f**k right off."

Addressing Shapiro's stance, Andrew Tate stepped in to convey his belief that peace talks should be pursued, writing, "Mr tough guy. Let me assure you as someone who has does his own fighting - as opposed to excitedly encouraging others to do it for him- while sitting at home on a comfy chair. Peace is always worth a conversation."

In a counter response, Shapiro firmly asserted, "Let me assure you, as someone who has not pimped women and bragged about it, that morality requires that those who rape women and kidnap children must be eradicated, not negotiated with."

After this fiery exchange, Andrew's brother Tristan Tate came to his defense, saying, "A Jewish man speaking of the “eradication” of a race of people. 2023 is a scary time to be alive."

However, many readers pointed out that Shapiro had not called for the eradication of a race of people but rather the eradication of "those who rape women and kidnap children".

Internet divided over Shapiro vs Tate feud

In response to Shapiro's call-out of Tate regarding his support for Palestine and advocacy for peace from Israel, numerous users voiced their opinions and joined in the conversation.

A user praised Shapiro, saying, "This is what a man protecting his country says Not a coward who is only tacitly connected to events by a recent, tentative conversion of religion."

Another user provided a more nuanced take on the exchange, saying, "Both are right in this case Theough (sic) the punishing of Hamas, many innocent Palestinians are going to pay the price for not their sins. Hamas deserves the hell that is coming."

Another post read, "Ben, good to see you are not one of the Tate fan club members. Cant understand why certain other podcasters even interview him. Nothing to admire about the guy at all."

However, several posts criticized Shapiro too. One of these posts read, "Shapiro is wrong on this one, as it relates to Mario Nawfal’s post, and Tate is right that peace is always worth a conversation. I can only imagine how useful Shapiro could be if he put the same amount of effort into defending America and he does into defending Israel."

Another facetiously remarked, "@Cobratate

vs the boy with voice of teenage girl, my money is with Andrew.

A few X users however refused to take sides and were instead amused by the unexpected feud between Shapiro and Tate.

One user tweeted, "Lmfao this is already the best twitter beef," while another tweet tweet read, "Damn wasn’t expecting Shapiro V. Tate at 6 am but here we are."

Another user said, "My two Dads are fighting, again ". A third commented, "Let me get my popcorn."
