The Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial has reached its last day now and the lawyers have delivered their closing statements. Heard is being sued by Depp for $50 million after she penned a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, calling herself a victim of abuse. The trial has been one hell of a ride for both the sides and their legal teams have brought forth a bunch of evidence.

Heard has repeatedly shown videos and pictures of 'The Rum Diary' actor under the influence of substances where he's either passed out or acting crazy, according to her. Depp's legal team played recordings of Heard where she claimed that no one would believe his side of the story. Now, the closing arguments have taken place in front of the jury before the verdict. During his closing statement, Depp's lawyer Ben Chew presented the jury with a verdict form and the type of questions that are in it.

Depp's lawyer Ben Chew went over the verdict form with the jury, guiding them. He went over the form with the jury which was a strong move as it can sway the jury's decision in Depp's favor. A verdict form is used to formalize the jury's decision on the case. According to Chew, questions 2, 3, and 4 are the heart of the verdict. He also stated that they'd have to say "Yes" to several questions about Heard, hence proving Depp to be in the right.

The heated trial is taking place at Virginia's Fairfax County circuit and Depp's lawyer approached the jury with the Special Verdict Form which is based on three statements that Amber Heard made. Each statement has 7 questions, which equals 21 questions in total. He went on to say that according to the evidence, "The answers to all those 7 questions are all yes. And if you answer yes, to all of those questions, which you should, we respectfully submit, you will be asked to state the number of damages to which Mr Depp is entitled."

Ben Chew also stated, "While Mr Depp is entitled to monetary compensation, this case, at least for Mr Depp, has never been about money. This case for Mr Depp has never been about money nor is it about punishing Ms Heard. It is about Mr Depp's reputation. It's about freeing himself from the prison in which he has lived for the past six years. It's six years to the day." Chew's closing statement was followed by a short break and Heard's lawyer Rottenborn's closing statement.
