Ben Affleck proves he is a doting dad as he spends quality time with daughter Seraphina, 14, in LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck was seen spending quality time with his two children while taking time off from his hectic work schedule. The doting father appeared to take turns as he was spotted having lunch with his 14-year-old daughter Seraphina at Kai Ramen in Santa Monica before taking his son Samuel, 11, for a spin.
Affleck, who is rumored to be directing the upcoming 'Batman' film 'The Brave and the Bold,' stayed true to his casual style as he stepped out of the restaurant with Seraphina. He wore a gray sweatshirt under a gray puffer coat and paired the top with blue jeans and brown and white Nike sneakers. He wore chic sunglasses with the casual look and kept his hair short and combed back. His daughter, on the other hand, followed Affleck's dress code, wearing a black T-shirt with the Beatles' 'Hard Days Night' graphic under a two-tone blue windbreaker. She completed her ensemble with red plaid flannel pants and white sneakers.

Will Ben Affleck direct upcoming 'Batman' film?
The outing comes amid speculation that Affleck could direct the announced 'Batman' film 'The Brave and the Bold.' James Gunn addressed the rumors on Twitter after a fan accused him of lying. “Didn’t Gunn say in a previous interview that Affleck’s not directing Brave and the Bold? I get that Gunn is something of a professional liar, but still," the fan wrote in an article. Gunn replied, "For years it’s been my commitment to the fans that I will never lie to them… and I never have. I’d be very curious about what it is you think I’ve lied about."
Fan responded to Gunn's tweet with a series of statements from the filmmaker himself, expressing that he did not want to direct DC or direct a Superman movie. To which Gunn wrote, “Neither of those were lies. I was offered Superman but did Squad instead. A few years later I saw how to tackle Superman & took it on. I didn’t want to be the sole CEO of DC, but when they came & offered it to me AND Peter I said yes because I could focus on the creative side.”
